Trump declines to correct man who says Obama is Muslim

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump declined Thursday to correct a questioner at a town hall event who incorrectly stated that President Barack Obama is Muslim and said he'd be "looking at" claims of terrorist training camps on American soil.

You are not supposed to challenge "political correctness"; not with logic.

Actually, the whole incident helped to demonstrate, once again, the best thing that Trump has going for him--he is not "politically correct."

Well, the Shia believe that the 12th Imam is going to reappear in Iran, so Obama definitely doesn’t fit their version.

I’m not sure what the Sunni think of his first appearance, but Obama really doesn’t seem to fit the description at all. The Mahdi is like a warrior-king who will lead the Muslims in battle, not some pansy politician whose wife wears the pants.

The man is entitled to his opinion. Why should Trump correct him? After all, Obama has aligned himself with Muslims and not Christians. He celebrates Ramadan with Islamist enemies of America, he has given aid and comfort to the Islamists. In his book he aligned himself with the Muslims. Most likely in 25 years the truth about Obama will surface. Who knows the way we’re going the ISIS flag could be hanging over the White House.

My own view is that Obama is an atheist. A rabid pro-abortion and pro-gay person cannot be a Christian OR a Muslim.

Ok folks, let's get this clear once and for all:

You must believe at least one of the following is true:

1. Obama is a Muslim, albeit potentially an apostate one
2. Obama's birth story is B.S.

If you believe Obama's birth story, then he is, by virtue of his father, a birthright Muslim. He may or may not reject that heritage, but to the Muslim world, he would be a Muslim, and an apostate Muslim is worse than any other enemy of Islam. Do they treat him as such?

If he's not Muslim, then his father wasn't, which means his birth story is B.S..

This LSM created phony scandal will get no traction because we the people either know obama is Muslim or suspect it. It will backfire on the LSM in the same way it did when Giuliani expressed his doubts that Obama loved this country. Because again the people knew what he said was true.

I think Trump did the right thing. His answer basically blew the guy off, leaving the impression that the question wasn’t worthy of discussion. To call the guy out would have raised its legitimacy.

I disagree with the word “declines”. Nobody asked him to correct the questioner. The headline could says “fails to” or “opts not to” or “is criticized for not” but it is at least borderline not accurate to say “declined”. This is actually good for Trump because it is such obvious p.c. nonsense. Also, that questioner’s voice sounded a little off - I wonder if he was a plant - has he been identified yet?

Hillary was certainly silent when women came forward with the truth about her rapist-pervert husband. Donald Trump doesn't have to try to change the mind of someone in his audience when they think Obama is a Muslim.... I imagine most honest Americans are skeptical of Obamas beliefs than those that believe every utterance out of his half white half black mouth.
