So a CEO and the company he runs are two separate entities? Nothing the company does is any reflection on the CEO?
How do you exist in the real world?
The bulk of Romney’s personal giving went to the Mormon church. He also heavily supported the uber liberal United Way and AIDS Action.
What Democrat politician did he write checks to?
Very true, so lets all stay home.
He ran Bain, and Bain gave FAR more to Dems than to the GOP. If you can’t make the connection between a CEO and the company he RUNS, that is your problem. Just don’t expect me to play such an idiot game. I’m an adult; I’ll act like one.
I asked you to produce any evidence that MR wrote any checks to any Democrat politicians. Can you?
I don’t think MR should be held responsible for what other people at Bain did with their own money. When you work for a company, not everyone in that company might be a Republican. Some were Democrats. And some donated to Democrat political candidates. MR cannot be blamed for that.
I ask you again: Name one single Democrat political candidate MR personally donated to.
Are you DENSE???
Why would ANY businessman contribute to politicians???
It is to make it easier to do business. This is not how the businessmen set it up. This is how the politicians set it up. Businessmen get no choice. Play by politicians’ rules or don’t play.
In Romney’s case, he greased the skids for his business by giving directly from the business. He didn’t have to write a personal check when he could get the same results by having Bain write the checks.
Trump has many business entities. For all you know, his political donations were made via these entities.
It makes no difference in either case. It is how it’s done. If you can’t grasp this, then I’m through wasting my time.
Period.
[If you dispute that Trump gave via one or more of his business concerns, show me the photostat proving otherwise.]
Trump has PERSONALLY written a number of checks to the Clintons and Reid and Pelosi’s campaign committees.
When has MR EVER done this?
Please cite one example.
I’m not interested in what his colleagues and co-workers at Bain did. That is their personal business.
I wish everyone at my job was a Republican. And only voted for Republicans and wrote checks to Republicans. But they’re not and I have to deal with it. Ditto with MR.
I would not hold DT responsible for political donations made by any of his employees or even family members. But I do hold DT responsible for every single check he has written.
‘Trump has PERSONALLY written a number of checks to the Clintons and Reid and Pelosis campaign committees.’
Prove it. Prove they were personal and not company checks.
Romney was no one’s fellow employee at Bain. He was the CEO. As such he approved all political donations.
Deal with it.
You deal with it.
DT writes checks to Dems.
MR does not. Period.
Read I originally quoted from IBD.
Romney, as CEO of Bain, authorized donations to many, many democrats. Your quote does not specify whether Trump made the donations from his personal acct or through one of his business concerns.
Hogwash.
Your screen name is very appropriate I might add.
Haha. The last resort of the losing argument—my screen name.
I’ve got news for you: Trump is more honest than Romney. I lived in MA during both Romney’s failed run at Kennedy’s seat [when Romney portrayed himself as the best friend the homosexual lobby would ever have] and during his entire miserable, deceitful tenure as governor. The state budget, already bloated, ballooned under Romney. Still Mitt boasted that he didn’t raise taxes.
How did he do it?
The same deceitful sleight of hand that enabled him to enrich Dems via Bain and then claim not to have written the checks off his personal acct.
He is a con man, pure and simple.
I can solve this pretty damned quick.
It’s really simple. Go to FEC.gov
Type in Romney Mitt
Type in Trump Donald in the appropriate spaces.
You will notice very significant donations from DT to Dem candidates and Dem campaign committees such as $25,000. to the DSCC. You will notice 0 donations from MR to the Dems.
I can’t make it clearer than this. If I was good at cutting pasting, I would put it up for all to see. But anyone can go to fec.gov and check it out for themselves.
That proves exactly what I already said. Trump is more honest than Romney. Romney gave more to Dems—FAR more—than Trump did. Romney was just more weasely about it, and did his giving via the co of which he was the CEO. It’s like everything else about Romney—dishonest.
