I’m scratching my head trying to see the connection between Syria and job creation.

“Look, Marco Rubio sits behind a desk sometimes, and he reads stuff, and he’s in committees. That’s all he does. I create jobs all day long. I know more about all of this than all of them put together."

Boy, talk about a non sequitor.

Would like to hear him say, “I will consult with our Generals and I will listen to our generals, unlike our current President. They are the experts in the field. I will listen to the advice of others knowledgeable about the dynamics. But make no mistake, we will not lead from behind.”

"I know more about all of this than all of them put together. Believe me, we’ll have a winning strategy."

Unbelievable, that this guy is running for President. SMH.

That was a non sequitur! But I think he meant he has to be flexible and creative
To stay afloat and to keep his people employed. As a business owner of about 35 years(retired) I get it.

And at least he didn’t say, “I’m really rich.”;-)

The Donald knows more about everything than anybody, because he’s the smartest man in the world! Just ask him.

There’s a difference between being a policy wonk (Rubio) and a doer (Trump).

On these issues, Trump is apparently an ignorant doer.

Rubio talks for a living. Trump creates actual things for a living.

Rubio reminds me too much of Obama...although not as sinister.

Trump is flawed but he’s the best of the flawed out there— save for Cruz. Who else can we win with? What it is.....
Trump has a record of accomplishments. Reagan he’s not.
Reality check.

this is Trumps mission....to destroy other pub candidates...and then to come up limply towards the end, either bow out, or become McCainlike in soft attacks against the beast....

Walker and Perry gone...

why isn't he using all the fury of his position to attack bammy and the Hitlery?....

Even though his answers will be seen by some as unsophisticated and politically damaging, I actually think he's right. Rubio appears to be a smart guy, and is affable, and I am sure he knows a lot of facts about Syria. He may be encyclopedic about Syria. However, sometimes it all comes down to understanding what motivates people - and Trump does understand that.

Whether it be money, power, narcissism, defeating enemies, or religious or political ideology, there are ways to deal with each of these motivators - and I think an understanding of the centrality of these motivations is something too many politicians don't have.

I think Trump has been around the block enough times to know how to recognize and deal with people of all stripes, and know when they are lying or posturing etc. Compare this to Kerry and the Iran deal. What's Iran's motivation? I'm not sure that kind of reflection was at all part of the way those ‘negotiations’ went. This is fundamental, irrespective of the details.

Trump...

Stick to smacking the Pope around on “global warming.”

Syria isn’t your strong suit.

I saw these quotes somewhere else and they were listed as “I’ll know” rather than “I know”. Can’t watch video right now so I don’t know who is right.

Maybe Trump will build a gambling casino over there, or let some of the ISIS guys appear on a celebrity reality show—you know, the stuff Trump actually knows something about—and that will create jobs for these terrorists, and they will calm down. Yes, a winning strategy! But who knows? He is sorta unpredictable, after all.

That requires depth of policy understanding.
