For all of our Trump fans, a sweet little morsel left over from yesterdays Gabriel Sherman post about the latest eruption of the Trump/Fox war.
Are there any Fox News hosts so obsequious towards Trump that they might dial him up and beg him to come back, like Johnny Fontane pleading with the Godfather to help him get that part he always wanted? Seems hard to imagine for most of them. Emphasis on most.
One reason there likely wont be peace in our time is that Trump still has not gotten over Kellys questioning of him during the opening Republican primary debate. She caused me a lot of damage, didnt she? Trump recently vented to a friend. Hes really angry, a source explained
Both sides are posturing to save face. Yesterday a Fox statement called Trumps boycott stale and tiresome. But a source close to the Trump campaign told me that Trump thinks he has the leverage. Trump has been hearing from Fox hosts who are worried that his boycott will hurt ratings. The calculus seems to be that by shunning Fox, Trump is hoping to drive a wedge between Fox hosts, Kelly, and Ailes. That may be wishful thinking. As an Ailes friend told me today: Roger cant turn back. The entire credibility of Fox as powerbroker rests on Trump being destroyed.

Rupert Murdoch is retiring. His son is taking over and he is a flaming socialist, European style. His wife used to work for Hillary.
Fox News cannot be trusted.
I agree with you...the sooner the better!!!
I an curious to see if OAN can get some momentum
I think the damage is done with most Trump supporters and Ailes' throwing a bone at this point won't be taken seriously and might make matters worse for some.
On your knees, Megyn!
you never know how this is going to turn out & I’m thinking The Donald is a pretty smart cookie on this one.
What I’m reading into this is he wants to make FOX an example of how things are being run in the MSM specially FOX which touts itself as being fair and balanced.
So The Donald says to Roger-”you don’t give a fair shake”? “I’ll go to another network”-—knowing full well the other girlfriend networks will not give him his worth. So, he holds it over Ailes head & brings Ailes to his knees. Intimidation?
I don’t think it is intimidation but it is an auspicious beginning for the entirety of the MSM to come clean by fingering FOX -suppose The Donald went to another network?
He’d clean their clock , too, just like he’s doing with FOX.
And on the comments he’s made about potential nominees where he has been chastised - I’ve never given moment over to think he was being “mean” He’s just clearing the playing field. Pretty basic if you ask me.
BS, Fox has dedicated much time each day since Trump announced in June constantly repeating the Trump statements they thought would damage him, with the intent of damaging him. All the way through the first debate and to the second debate they continued until the realized their attempts to damage him weren't working, so they then began spending less time trying discussing him and started pimping Fiorina and Rubio and at times Carson.
Fox always tried to damage Trump, and that's what they are still trying to do, whether it's by discussing him negatively or ignoring him and pimping other candidates.
Up yours, Fox.
If you set out to take Vienna you had better take Vienna.
Whoo Hoo, Captain! Great post!
Fox had better get “energized” or the not so silent majority is really gonna get pissed off, i think the nationwide trend is gaining momentum that America is getting sick and tired of these propaganda networks. Outright lies and distortions to support their socialistic agenda.
Trump wanted a voice and he got it....now it’s taken on a life of its own, far beyond what he expected. How to get out;
Trump doesn’t want to be president and can’t state it that way. He wants his old life back.
If Fox ratings are dropping this week, which I doubt, it’s probably because they went all-pope-all-the-time.
Roughly 20% of the population identifies as Catholic, and that’s not taking into consideration whether they are observant or just nominal adherants.
Yet all that Fox (and most other networks) have broadcast is the never-ending socialist pope -— despite major political upheaval in Washington, the equivalent of two jumbo jets full of people trampling each other in Allah’s desert, Russia and Syria plotting to take over the Middle East, and Obama rolling out a red carpet for our malevolent Chinese guest.
Viewers turned off and tuned out, quit paying attention to either the pope or the Donald. Is he jealous of Francis’ airtime?
Trump was on fire, at his OK City speech, tonight.
He doesn’t seem the least bit concerned about FoxNews....does he?
This is leadership in my view. Trump knows how to mess with a brand. FOX has called for a meeting next week. The reason is because Trump mentioned the “B” word, for boycott.
Trump already knew many were boycotting already, ever since the FOX debate. Now a wave is starting because Trump has exposed FOX, drawn attention to their GOP bias, taken his toys to the competition and FOX is OUT, throwing away $$$$$$ they could have had, but for Me Again Kelly and the jack job they have given Trump 24/7 in their pundit programming from 3 to 11PM daily.
That’s real money. Three in the afternoon to eleven is getting kissed off by the conservative base.
You don’t know brand, and obviously don’t know Trump.
Copulation Fox!
Fox can’t badmouth Trump 24/7 and then expect him to do their shows and keep their ratings up. Trump won’t stand for it.
I agree with you. Wall to wall pope on ALL channels was overkill by the best of margins. And, I’m Catholic. Even if he were not socialist/Marxist opinionated, the coverage didn’t make sense.
Boehner news had to take a back seat, Trump got the back seat, and I don’t think anyone else is running, are they?
Just kidding. :D) Rita
Copulation FOX!
Pulleez!
Trump needs Fox to reach the Conservative base.
This is the old “walk out of the showroom” tactic.
