Rafael Cruz was in Michigan again this week. He’s been spending a lot of time here.

This is quite possible: Pastor Cruz's early years in Cuba, plus his pre-Christian debauchery years, could have aged him faster, so that he really is 79. (/s)

The writer’s credulity is questionable. A person born in 1939 is NOT 79 years old! So in the opening sentence he was already in erroneous territory.
Even with the stubble he looks swishy.

As they mock his claims of Christian persecution, they title their stories calling Pastor Cruz a scary man.

Oh, yes. The rumors are that Ted Cruz will set up a theocratic government and imprison the gays, while his father will steal your money and possessions and give them to evangelical ministers. Oh and the Senator will kill the Ayatollah on his first day of office, thereby starting a nuclear war.
Every day there is another rumor and each day’s rumor is more dire than the one from the day before. It’s hysterical to read them and watch the lefties go beserk. I used to tell the libs the rumors aren’t true. Now I just agree with them.
