The wife used the boyfriend as a deadly weapon. In effect, she pulled the trigger by getting the boyfriend to kill her husband. The boyfriend was the murder weapon.
Once again, I don’t question Kelly Gissendaner’s guilt.
It was the punishment. I think a life sentence would have sufficed in her particular case. This is strictly my opinion. I saw remorse. I some mitigating circumstances.
I personally think the death penalty should be reserved for the most repulsive murderers and terrorists and serial killers such as the Manson Family, Jeffery Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, the Colorado movie shooter, the Boston bomber, the 9/11 accomplices etc etc.
Again just my opinion. If I could have determined Kelly Gisswendaner’s punishment, it would have been life imprisonment.
They were offered equal punishment. A guilty plea in return for life with 25 years before eligibility for parole. He took the deal, she rolled the dice.
