(from 2013) UPDATE: Arapahoe HS Armed School Resource Officer Confronted Shooter
truth about guns ^ | 2013 | Nick Leghorn

Posted on 10/01/2015 3:24:27 PM PDT by doug from upland

From a Fox News report of Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson’s press conference:

When an armed school resource officer entered the room, Pierson believed he was cornered and turned his gun on himself, Robinson said. The entire attack lasted approximately 80 seconds and was captured by security cameras.

Sounds like that SRO stopped what could have possibly been a much bigger tragedy. It’s a result that we expected, based on our own independent testing of school shooting scenarios. If that armed resource officer hadn’t been present, it would have taken even more time for the police to arrive and stop him — time the shooter could have used to killing more people. Instead, in the oft-ridiculed words of Wayne LaPierre, a good guy with a gun stopped the bad guy with a gun.

There is a very angry college law instructor lecturing me on the TV again. He is wrong on his facts....again.

“There is a very angry college law instructor lecturing me on the TV again.”

It is fake anger, of course. He is actually thrilled to have an opportunity to talk about gun control. He couldn’t even wait to find out if he knew what he was talking about. This means he will get in some more speeches about the slaughter.

Very perceptive. That is why the very beginning of the headline identified it as 2013. I thought it was appropriate to bring back today. Had someone in the classroom in Oregon been trained an armed, far fewer would have died.

That POS never lets a good opportunity go to waste.

The shooting is a tragedy that, had those students been allowed to carry, perhaps he would not have been so lucky and more kids would still be alive.

We don’t need more gun control we need open carry in every school.

When I read your post I was unaware of the shooting in Oregon so the post made no sense.

Now it does.

I’m hearing 13 dead. Dreadful

Maybe Barry is upset he couldn’t invite the shooter to the White Crib, like the clock boy.

I understand. Too bad someone was not armed in that classroom.
