Okay, so there is a poster on FR that said the parents had to bear some responsibility in this. I said not necessarily and I would wait for details to come out.
IF Shooter had Asperger’s ..then yes I believe the mother bears some responsibility. She knew of his problems and let him have a stockpile of guns.
The boy was troubled. She had a duty to keep on track of him since he was living with her and she knew he had mental problems. Do gun laws allow troubled people with Asperger’s to have guns???

Here is the other thing that bothers me.
If I had an adult child with Aspergers and a sister who was a computer techie or knew computer geeks because of her profession...I would make darn sure I was able to see what my son was up to on the computer.
Wasn’t that the case with Sandy Hook. It was mother’s guns.
