Why? Draw! Open carry is BLING (look at me, I have a gun!). You tip off a potential opponent you are armed...you miss surprise as a tactic. You are visually challenging anyone else who might want to take it away from you. Sure it is a Constitutional Right...but it is tactically and strategically stupid. So uniformed cops are tactically and strategically stupid. Noted.

We had an episode here in San Diego North County where someone called in a report of a rifle on Campus, THe place was locked down SWAT called from all over roads closed, you name it. Turned out it was a professor carrying an umbrella.
