Harry Reid Suing Exercise Equipment Firm Over Eye Injury

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and his wife, Landra, are suing the manufacturer of the exercise band that slipped or snapped, leading to the Nevada Democrat’s eye injury.
According to court documents filed in Clark County, Nev., Reid alleges that the injury resulted from a faulty exercise resistance band, causing more than $50,000 in damages.
“As a result of the TheraBand breaking or slipping out of his hand, Plaintiff Harry Reid has suffered and continues to suffer from severe pain and injuries including, but not limited to, loss of vision in his right eye, a concussion, broken orbital bones, severe disfigurement and bruising to his face, hand injuries, facial lacerations, scarring, and broken ribs,” according to the complaint, which was obtained by Nevada journalist Jon Ralston.

Can’t stand the old twerp, but I wouldn’t wish those injuries on any senior citizen.

From the looks of Reid, when he could finally make is way back to Washington D.C. I would dare say the mob doesn’t take to kindly to being sued...

That company ought to counter sue Reid AND HIS BROTHER and allow the truth to be told under depositions.

I have zero tolerance for any democrat that would mindlessly support obama...that goes for Pelosi...Boxer...all the fools that place their socialist desires before the good of the country.

Took a while to file, so would imagine the witnesses to the ‘truth’ have either vanished or been compromised, opening the way for the sleaze bag to attempt to extort a company.
Maybe someone should start one of those sites that raise money for people to open one for the company being sued.
Then (MAYBE) they wont just settle to make it ‘go away’ as most companies are wont to do.
I do like Walmarts stand on law suits (At least the old standard, probably changed by now)
He claims this happened but doesn’t know if the band actually broke or it just slipped out of his hand?
Wouldn’t that be rather obvious even after the fact? Is the band broken or not?
He should decide which lie he is going to use prior to filing a lawsuit.
I think that companies should be sued for manufacturing exercise equipment that gets irritated for being ridden and assaults the rider.
This late in the game lends more credence to the injuries coming from some other source.
Well I heard that too. Or maybe Guido and Manny. But I guess the exercise band kicked his azz. LOL! I’m sorry but I have a good imagination and I cannot for the life of me see an exercise band doing that much damage.
He probably paid the company 100k to settle for 50k.
He needs to produce the band. If he can’t that is spoliation of evidence. Also, he better come up with some eye impartial witnesses.
Oh, how I despise Harry Reid.
