A concealed-carry license holder is cooperating with police after she opened fire on a shoplifter who was fleeing a Home Depot on Tuesday afternoon, police in Auburn Hills, Mich., said.
The shooting happened in the store’s parking lot about 2 p.m., when Home Depot security was chasing a shoplifter in his 40s who jumped into a waiting dark SUV, said Lt. Jill McDonnell, an Auburn Hills police spokeswoman.
But when the SUV began to pull away, a 48-year-old woman suddenly began firing shots at the fleeing vehicle. The vehicle escaped – but possibly has a flat tire, McDonnell said.
The woman who fired the shots has a license to carry a firearm and is cooperating with police.

So some woman bystander opens up on a moving vehicle in the middle of a parking lot at a Home Depot at 2 in the afternoon over some petty shop lifter and some folks think this is perfectly A-OK?
Anyone who thinks like this should never ever carry a firearm.
The media has been looking for one of these scenarios for YEARS! I will withhold judgment on whether she actually had a CHL, not on that she acted 'stupidly'.

I think it’s a right definitely, but let’s face it, you choose to accept that right same as your right of free speech. It can be a right that is abused. Plus, there is a responsibility to know as much as you can about that right, because there are people who will take advantage of you.
This lady is darn lucky she didn’t hit someone.

No, she won’t, opening fire in a public place with no threat to herself or others is not okay. She’s watched too many cop movies, and she is going to face charges.
