The fact of the matter is if your are selling 50+ guns a year you already are, in all likelihood, a licensed firearms dealer, and since most people who sell guns to friends on a casual basis typically don't keep records of those sales, it would be virtually impossible for the ATF to track down every gun sale you made and PROVE you sold 51 guns in a year and would therefore now be covered by the new executive order...or you only sold 49 and did not.
No rational person who has been paying attention the last 7 years believes Obama is still “weighing” unilateral and unconstitutional action to implement more gun control laws.
It is a certainty that he has already made the decision to do it and the written plan sits on his desk ready to go while he waits for the most politically opportune time to make his move.
We are going to go through a massive S**t Storm of never ending Obama illegal and unconstitutional acts in the next 15 months and not one of the spineless ba****ds sitting in congress will do a thing about it.
My bet is that he uses the pretense of “background checks” to dictate Federal access to the 4473’s.

If he does this, and if the Republicans let him, once more, get away with it, we are growing closer to electing Donald Trump. Don’t those in Washington realize what Trump’s popularity is all about?
People are sick of the valedictorian(blabbermouth) and his presidential mandates which are in violation of the Constitution. Executive authority does not extend to writing laws, which by the way, is what he is doing.
Under the proposed rule change, dealers who exceed a certain number of sales each year would be required to obtain a license from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and perform background checks on potential buyers.
I'm trying to figure that out too. Anyone who sells firearms for a living must have an FFL no matter how many or how few guns they sell. Everyone who has an FFL must do a NICs background on every sale they make. The only exception being antique firearms as defined by the ATF.
Am I mistaken about this? Am I missing something else?

I sent my plan to Mayor Emanuel in Chicago as the murder rate surged. Deputize the Million Moms for Gun Sense, team them with Baraq's ATF agents, and send them into the Chicago 'hood to clean up the illegal guns.
They are far, far more likely to come after your gun and mine (legally purchased) than to ever enter the “hood”.
Not a problem. There are too many acronyms these days. :-)
I guess no one is going to clear up our confusion about background checks.
