Really? Odd how no one voice this concern when Hillary was on.

Then do they automatically get the time HilLIARy was given the week before?

Wasn’t Hillary just on SNL (likely in a campaign pre-reviewed scripted segment)? I heard audio but don’t know if it was an impersonator.

The bureaucrats are totally out of control and will lash out at any perceived threat.
To them a representative republic is a perceived threat.

Very interesting. Will Bernie Sanders be hosting one night. Jim Webb? The leading Socialist Party candidate?

Equal time rules have nothing to do with the value of the candidate....would a Nazi get “equal time”?

Or do they get a slot at 3:30 am?
To: raccoonradio
NBC could ask the FCC for a ruling that the show was a bona fide news broadcast or news interview program or documentary, and thus exempt from the requirement, but that would be a stretch. Weren't Arnold Schwarzenegger's movies put on broadcast hold while he ran for governor?

And they have better access to, and more opportunities to influence the legislators than the average citizen.

In 1980 Boston independent station Ch 56 couldn’t run Ronald Reagan movies as he was a candidate (if they did they had to give equal time). After the polls closed they ran a “Ron till dawn” marathon

Didn’t matter when Queen Hillary Abedin was on, did it.

They will write it into the script and take a shot at the FCC.

This is funny. Trump is totally in control of media now. Now there’s going to be another controversy, one that keeps Trump as the center of attraction.

Hopefully Trump will use this as an opportunity to explain why he would abolish The FCC.

Hillary was on SNL (though not as host), and then had a very lengthy “town hall” on the Today (NBC) show the following week!

No, NBC sent a memo out to its affiliates warning them her appearance could trigger an equal time request.
They do that every time a candidate appears on one of their entertainment shows to give the affiliates the choice of carrying the show.
I believe that only once, however, has an opposing candidate actually claimed his equal time.
To: raccoonradio
They should let Bernie host, he could imitate Trump - it would be a hoot.
