Just locally here three miles from the border same results:

The resident hispanics consider the illegals to be sub-cultural. They intentionally exclude them from events and essentially consider them to be squatters here for the goodies, from both sides of the spectrum.

Of course the caped crusader knee-jerk liberals make all the noise around here. Our congresscritter, unfortunately, is red raul grijalva so the pandering is over the top. Lots of "si se puede" BS associated with govt giveaways.

I'm sure that some (legal) immigrants are sympathetic to illegals, but that sure wasn't my experience.

My experience as well.

An expedited over-and-back amnesty for the good ones is apparently a popular position with hispanics.

MANY HISPANICS AGREE WITH DONALD TRUMP ON ENFORCING THE BORDER . . . The eventual GOP nominee should, of course, reject the divisive, inflammatory language Trump and his supporters have often used . . .

Just walking back the logical chain here: If "many hispanics agree" with Trump on immigration now, after he's been using that mean, bad language, why should anyone who wants "hispanic" votes change the "divisive" language that got their support? Wouldn't that be stupid?

How do we know that the emphatic, "inflammatory" truth wasn't exactly what they had been waiting to hear?

many Hispanic citizens have little sympathy for immigrants who haven't played by the rules.

Bingo! But it doesn't just apply to illegals...it applies to everyone!

Now if we could just get the “only real conservative” Republicans like Carson and Cruz on board

Good luck with that.

At least one has been on the border handing out teddy bears, and encouraging more of the same.

Democrats play race politics... never occurs to liberal elites that groups might see themselves as ‘American’ first and ‘Hispanic’ second.

I'm part English, Irish, German, French - - etc (Mom said 'Heinz 57') and I would not want unrestricted access from any of those countries...

Why would Hispanic feel any differently?
