Exactly. Brit Hume’s opinion demonstrates what kind of mental damage comes from an affair with Megan Kelly. He is a RINO. Hates Sarah Palin, who could beat Kelly in a personality or beauty contest any day. But I guess when you look like Hume you have to scrape the bottom of the barrel is Kelly was down there, plastered to the floor.

The only reason I can come up with for WHY Brit would write this, is if he has a severe case of redbutt because the congress may NOT have given Obunga everytging he wanted.

GOPe in high dander!

Actually, that was not hyperbole.

FOX “News”’s lib panel is LED usually by
hyperliberal Hume, who is on many issues
to the radical LEFT of Juan Williams.
For example, Hume LOVES that Obama supports
al Qaeda, conveniently called .... “rebels”.

That list is the the equivalent of a little girl asking for a pony for Christmas. He knows they won’t give him that, but he talks about it because it energizes his base.

On the realistic things he wants, he gets them without a fight from our Republican “majority”.

As someone else pointed out, don’t look at what he mentioned in a speech and didn’t get. Look at at the very small number of things that our “majority” sent him that he had to veto.

A big part ( not the totality) of any solution is growing our way out if it and I don’t see any man strong enough to buck tptb to do it except Trump and the people he will pull onto his team

Most Freepers score these days not with a scorecard but by how far we are down the road to oblivion and the degree to which this progress was resisted.

I have to ask. Is this affair thing true? First I’ve heard of it.

So we avoided an ugly red zit, didn’t get a hangnail and steadfastly refused to change the part in our hair from left to right..., but DID get terminal cancer. Sorry, I don’t count that as a “win.”

Obama proposes a radical idea almost daily. Cherry picking a few he hasn’t gotten does not demonstrate succeess. He’s gotten all the big stuff and used executive or regulatory action to do much without any congressional push back.

The GOP has failed to hold its base’s ideological lines when it had the power to do so for fear of the metrics

The GOP has colluded with Democrats to pass key spending bills (Crominbus, CR, debt limit).

And now, the GOP is colluding with Democrats on pet pork projects (Ex/Im Bank, Hwy bill)

It may be true that Obama hasn’t gotten everything he wanted, but he’s gotten far more than an opposition party with levers of power should ever have allowed.

The Dems would have stood on principle for their beliefs in the face of a GOP President, metrics be damned. This is the lesson (that Dems have known for a long time) that Trump can teach the GOP: stop apologizing for your beliefs.

No. The GOP hasn’t given Obama everything, but they’ve given him enough to make him a very successful progressive.

They’ve given him enough to completely undermine conservative priorities.

When Dems get elected, they fight for their core beliefs. When GOP gets elected, they compromise their core beliefs.

The base is furious with the GOP for damn good reason.

No confirmation, but the rumors have been out there for a while.

Megyn Kelly Affair, Fox News’s “Research Division” and The Loving The Party Problem

AUGUST 11, 2015 BY

Let’s talk about Fox News’s Megyn Kelly, shall we?

In 2011 I won a journalism award from News Corp where I got to meet some of the muckety mucks at Fox. Night owl that I am, I asked to meet Greg Gutfeld. Gutfeld told me that Fox News was kind of like high school but without the jocks. “There are lots of babes and a bunch of nerds and geeks but no jocks,” he said. It was, he intimated, kind of awesome, at least, for the men.  I thought this vaguely creepy and stopped watching Red Eye soon thereafter though I confess that was because I never really owned a TV. I wish Gutfeld well but think that his show and shtick was more interesting when it was more edgy. The forty-something frat boy runs dry and I’m a little tired of 70 year olds listening to 40 year olds about what 20 years old are interested in.

Anyway, in 2012 an adviser to Roger Ailes told me that Megyn Kelly and Brit Hume were having an affair. In 2014 a crisis PR official based in New York & hired by News Corp told me the same thing. The adviser said that Ailes told Kelly that she had to cancel the affair with Hume and that if she did she’d be the new face of Fox and step in for O’Reilly. I dismissed these rumors at the time but the Daily Kos wrote about the rumors surrounding Kelly and Hume in 2007 and later Kelly did step in for O’Reilly and has risen through the ranks–just as my source predicted. Kelly, in an interview with Howard Stern (yes, really), said she nearly didn’t get the job but that Ailes stepped in on her behalf.

Hume was once good, but is now a joke, and a bitter clinger to the sound of his own tired voice.

As Vito Don Corleone got older, he shuffled around his garden, drank more wine, and became tired and confused.

Young Don

Old Don with new Don

Ok, qualify it. The GOP has given Obama everything it wants if it is attached to the budget.
They have saved us from nothing that Obama has pushed hard.
