Schools are full of people like this. Katy is a wealthy area with lots of parents who simply refuse to see it happening before their very eyes. There are religious people out there right now defending this teacher because it is easier than admitting the truth.

Covered briefly on the local news just now. Principal apologized - sort of - said it wasn’t a graded assignment. Student says it was and unless she disavowed her faith, she would receive an F on the assignment. Can’t let this be swept under the rug with just an apology. Teacher needs to be gone.

Broadcaster said they had tried to get comment from teacher but no one answered the door. No name given. Will see if it’s covered on the morning news.

That is exactly what happened.

These kids are not stupid. They understand that the term “Myth” in popular usage has come to mean, “any invented story, idea, or concept” and “an imaginary or fictitious thing or person.” Example: “His account of the event is pure myth.” This teacher carefully constructed the lesson to breakdown the student’s faith, like public school teachers across America.

Texas, the red state?

Texas won't be red for long. 2020 at the latest to go full blue. All you have to look at are the city centers... and the entire border counties.

I wasn’t there, so I don’t know. But I did notice this...

“Our teacher had started off saying that the assignment had been giving problems all day.”

It sounds to me like, maybe, the teacher is following one of those Common Core type templates. The teacher doesn’t sound too enthusiastic about the lesson.

Looking online I see there are plenty of people who DO know the name of the teacher but unlike liberals they are not listing the name on their FB pages in a vengeful rage so as not to destroy the teacher’s life. If the teacher had been Christian qnd demanded that athiests acknowledge that Jesus was the son of God and had to say so or lunk the lass the libs would already have their name plastered all over the ‘net demanding that the teacher be fired and would be enouraging violence against her plus protesting overnight in front of the school threateningto pillage and plunder it or burn the teacher’s house down.

Tell me I’m wrong.

The proper response should have been “There is a God- too bad you don’t care to know Him, but I will admit Caitlin Jenner is NOT a woman If that will make you happy teacher?”

Yes, if there was mention of status of teacher, I missed it. This is truly outrageous!

Tell me I’m wrong.”

I can’t - you are right on. I don’t do Facebook but did call the office of Gina Cobb, the principal, this afternoon and voiced my opinion. If the teacher had been a Christian insisting that non-Christians in the class pledge allegiance to Christ as their Savior or she would flunk them, her house would have been in ashes by now.

There is nothing wrong with being a myth.

That's right, for example the Solar System is a myth ...

... I'm firm on this.

Atheism is a religion...of Satan who has convinced many that he does not exist therefore God must not exist. One has to wonder how many athiests he has doomed to hell with this lie...

Not enough is being written about the pure evil of public school teachers.

“It isn’t a Fact because I know of no way to test it at present.”

Go within and God is more real than the physical objects you see, touch, hear, taste and smell around you.

If the teacher had insisted they believe in God and praise Him or chance failing, there would be headlines and pictures of a teacher wearing an orange jumpsuit and in cuffs - and maybe leg irons....

2...Opinions are almost always partly right and partly wrong.

Opinions are like rectums: almost everyone I know has at least one.

DallasGal - I have lived in Katy for 20 years and your opinion of Katy could not be more false. Katy, Texas is a bastion of genuine conservative people and principles.

Katy enjoys a large Veteran community and our church attendance is well above even Texas average.

If you had bothered to read further down, I meant Houston was liberal. Katy is like Southlake, pretty white and pretty wealthy
