Well we’ll have to agree to disagree in regards to the Trump for President campaign

I strongly suspect we don't disagree as much as you might think.

If all things were equal my absolute first choice would be Cruz. Unfortunately, they are not equal. And until this last debate I believed Trump was the only one who "gets it" that he doesn't just need to beat Democrats, but a hectoring Press as well.

Now it seems the others are getting it also. Is it too late for Cruz to build the same kind of momentum Trump has succeeded at: probably. He certainly is the only one with a proven record of opposing the PTB from a position within the "fishbowl." But frankly, I'm afraid at this point a Cruz nomination would only mean a slow reversion to the status quo vis a vis, the media.

With all that has happened this election season I believe the optimum outcome would be a Trump/Cruz ticket, whereby Trump sets an enduring precedent for how EVERY conservative must relate to the leftist media, Cruz provides the legislative experience for how a Trump administration deals with Congress, and eventually the baton is passed to a Cruz administration where the Constitution gets some much needed recognition.
