Chuck Todd: GOP Candidates Launched ‘Premeditated Attack’ Against Debate Moderators
Newsbusters ^ | Kyle Drennan

Posted on 10/29/2015 5:02:12 PM PDT by markomalley

Despite the incredibly biased performance of the moderators of CNBC’s Republican presidential debate, on Thursday’s NBC Today, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd portrayed his business network colleagues as victims of a GOP plot: “Look, in many ways this was a premeditated attack. There had been some leaked ideas that, you know, beforehand, they were going to go after the moderators and say, ‘Hey, the Democrats didn't get questions like this,’ and they determined this before the debate even started.”

Todd made that accusation in response to co-host Savannah Guthrie observing: “...the media was the opponent not on the stage right with them but, clearly, a big part of this debate. Fairly or unfairly, this is a winning strategy for candidates.”

Chuck, what difference does it make? You can't attack the bias unless it is there, and against conservatives it always is.

“Chuck Todd: GOP Candidates Launched Premeditated Attack Against Debate Moderators”

If only! I DREAM that our candidates would unite with each other to take on the MSM. Last night it seemed that they finally were catching on, pretty much standing up for each other against the questioners’ attacks. Something like “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”.

Really? Whether or not and I doubt it, does it make any difference? The media is exactly what they said. Biased obama butt kissers.

Hide and watch: this will become the left’s meme. The calculating and evil Republicans scheming against the poor defenseless moderators.

Next, you’ll likely hear how the media is under attack by the RNC.

We should have been doing this since 2008 and we’ DAMN sure better continue doing it.

....pretty much standing up for each other against the questioners attacks.

They sure were but it looked like Yeb didn't get the memo or decided not to play - either way he looked out of the loop when the others were pushing back.

Another thing is - I always wondered in past cycles why the Eunuch's never pushed back against the awful questions the MSM would posit - hopefully we turned a corner last night....

All the mediators had to do was refrain from asking irrelevant, insulting questions. If they knew what was coming from the candidates before-debate planning, it would have been a trivial matter to avoid triggering pushback. They remain not victims, but perpetrators.

Chuck Todd is clearly a Democrat operative who knows only the blame game. Instead of shooting yourself in the foot, Chuck Todd, why do you not add some intelligent and common sense analyses?

Was Ted Cruz correct in his comments on the motives of the panel? Were not the moderators Democrats who got their questions from the DNC? Comment on the format of the debate, and put forth information supporting your assessment. Defend or reject the questions asked by the debate moderators.

Stop assuming that the audience are all low information voters, and believe every word of what you say.

The GOPe has happily been allowing liberals to control the debates for years and there is a reason for that.

INHO! All these people are circling the journalistic wagons. Why? I think it boils down to protecting all of their multi-million dollar salaries. That is an exclusive club of its own that must be protected at all costs regardless of which media outlet they may work.

Chuck was on the NBC nightly news tonight to give his expert opinion of the debate. All he said was that there were three establishment candidates and three non-establishment candidates, and in naming the non-establishment ones he mentioned Carson first, then Trump, then Cruz.

Yes..chuck. I would imagine that the campaigns have coordinated a line of attack. If they decide to attack us, as they did with Trump, and Dr. Carson, and Rubio, why not counter punch? That’s the whole issue for you Chuck...isn’t it? That they decided to counter punch instead of grovel at your feet.

Most of the rest of us consider the mediots, like you, Chuck to be barely intellignet enough to keep your heart beating. You certainly can’t walk and chew gum at the same time, Chuck. You’re a Journalism school graduate, which is about as valuable as a roll of toilet paper. The rest of us will use your degree to to wipe our asses. We don’t grovel at your feet we despise you and all who think and act like you.

So...Chuck.... If you want to play with the big boys, be prepared to get a few black eyes and maybe a few cracked ribs at a minimum. Because, if you keep your shit up we will finish you. In Civil War 2 that you are actively fomenting...you and your fellow mediot mavens are target #1.

The moderators put “kick me” signs on their backs and the candidates collectively said: “OK.”
