I understand your point. My post was more general in nature. The media is against Republicans, and the GOP has for years responded by attempting to ingratiate itself.

My response would be not to interact at all- as far as practical. Yes, as you indicate, the result would be that only liberals would be interviewed, or quoted in articles.

But ultimately, the media will be constrained to explain the absence of opposing input to the audience - and that explanation is that the GOP believes that the media is part of the Democrat party.

Exposing, or identifying, the media as Democrat operatives is much preferable to having the audience pereceive the media as impartial— in and of itself, that’s more beneficial to the GOP than being held hostage by the media.

I wish that the debates would touch on the subject of the threat of Islam. These guys and one gal still shy away from discussing the most ominous threat to our civilization.

That’s kind of the point. Trump acts against the media. He reconstructed the CNBC plan for cash— three hours, three and a half whatever, down to two hours. He said it would be unfair, before the event ever occurred.

No. Two hours is less informative. I prefer three hours.

What would have been constructive would have been a forced change in moderators. But Trump neither asked for a change nor did he complain about them being left wing operatives.

It’s true that pre-debate, Trump did not, by himself, have the authority to select, or to bump moderators, before the fiasco on Thursday evening. Post debate, however, we see the front runners banding together to address the commentators. Carson knew he could depend on Trump to cooperate on a meeting to deal with critical changes, possibly even a boycott, because Trump had already aggressively plowed that ground, having already been pro-active, unafraid to deal, and accomplished a reset on time.

If two hours of too many on the stage caused a crap storm, very few would be interested in three hours more of the same. Hopefully, the candidate meeting Sunday night (tonight) and the RNC boycott of the upcoming MSNBC debate may cause a sea change that benefits the party.
