I’m still waiting on someone to make a small frame six shot snub with a 2.25” barrel.

Hello Colt, time to bring back the Detective Special.

Just bought one of these this spring (Sig 938). My first 9. I was surprised at the difference in the 9 vs. the 380.

Happy is me.

I take it you're not a fan. I was looking at their .38 snubbies vs Charter Arms. Don't know if either is any good.

My wife really liked the Taurus 85 38SPL revolver. We were in San Diego at the time and two week waits applied, except if you purchased at the range, you could use it on premises. She did. The nice, soft trigger pull turned out to be a defect. 3 out of 5 had light taps on the primer, but failed to ignite. It was now a "used" gun, so off to Taurus for "repair". It came back 5 weeks later. A very heavy trigger pull, but 100% ignition. A very disappointing experience.

The Ruger LCP smacks my hand too hard. The Ruger LC9s is comparatively easy to shoot accurately. The S&W M&P Shield 9mm is even better than the LC9s and much easier to take down without extra tools. Both have good holsters and are easy to carry. Tagua makes a nice belt slide OWB for the Shield that rides high enough on your belt to nicely disappear under your jacket.

The S&W 640 is a nice snubby in .357mag. Enough mass to avoid smacking your hand too hard. Shrouded hammer, so pocket carry is possibly. My principal objection to the J-frame is having my finger pinched behind the trigger. Just bad geometry for my hands. L-frame optimum, N/X frame usable.

Well said.
But I think I would still rather have a Ruger LC9/Luger 9 over the .380/9 short-Kurz

But this gelatin test shows they are “six of one, half dozen of another” so maybe not.
In fact the Germans or at least Walther thought the .32 and .380 were comparable for their PP models.
Anyone carrying .380, I recommend Hornady’s Critical Defense round, defeats fabric fouling.

12 Best Undercover Pocket Pistols

http://www.personaldefenseworld.com/2014/11/12-best-undercover-pocket-pistols/

I think some consideration should be given to derringers, for two reasons: multiple calibers of ammunition with barrel swaps, and that it some of them can fire .410 bore shotgun shells.

Rohrbaugh was a victim of making them too good.

The only one I got to handle belonged to a guy named Karl M.who worked at J. Bland for a while before becoming an assistant DA.

I got excited and bought one. It shoots very nicely, but I did have an issue when I was using some cheap aluminum cased 9mm (during the depths of the ammo shortage).

Haven’t sent it in, don’t know how much I’m concerned about it as it works fine with brass case.

Besides, since then, I picked up a Ruger LC9s, and I like it much, much better.

For what it’s worth.

Thanks for that. The S&W snubbies are a little pricey. I don’t really want an auto. Leaning towards a hamerless snubbie. Maybe the Charter. I’m still looking.

If you want a quality carry gun, get a Sig Sauer P238.

That is a gimmick and unlikely to be a big seller.

Charter Arms 44 Special Bulldog pug . Feed it 200gr GDHP Blazer Aluminum cased ammo .

Awesome lightweight combo. Love mine. Remember Harpseal ? His neighbor was Charter Arms CEO . Talked me into buying one and its a great, accurate revolver.

Highly suggest one ....

I don’t know how their bankruptcy is affecting production. They’ve gone bankrupt before.

I don’t know anything about them. They certainly have all the bells and whistles. I have a Ruger LCP, and while it’s easy to carry, it’s painful to shoot. My current carry gun is a Walther PPK/S.
