BOSTON (CBS) - President Alena Mulhern has a nice ring to it. But the little girl from Kingston can't actually be elected to our nation's highest office. Alena was adopted from China. So since she wasn't a US citizen from birth, the Constitution forbids her from becoming President. She doesn't accept that and Wednesday she took her campaign for change to the State House.
"We should all have the opportunity to run for president," 10 year old Alena Mulhern says as she testifies before a State House committee.
She's not going to let anyone tell her the top job is beyond her reach just because she was born in China.

Children should be seen and not heard - particularly for ones with political aspirations.
She can always “self identify” as a natural born American.

Reminds me a bit, of the 12 year old girl who spoke at the Democrat convention in 2004. She chastised Dick Cheney for saying a very bad word. The crowd chortled in glee at her scolding Dick Cheney. A 12 year old of all people was calling out Dick Cheney for saying the F word to someone.
Ask Obama, with his pad of executive orders, he can fix that constitutional problem, no sweat.
I was into politics at 11. I still haven’t learned to shut up. ;)

Children don’t have the judgement to make decisions on major political issues.

Of course not. She comes from the position of a child being denied a treat and complaining because she cannot get what she wants. Her parents obviously haven’t clued her in. I’m not sure why children can have the right to address the government in any case. The whole thing is ludicrous.

By his actions, The Kenyan has declared it null and void.
The Supreme Court will note there has already been a precedent, and hence she should have no problem.
Why not? We change the law for mentally ill people and depraved murderers. Why not a child? /s
