I served with several outstanding NCO's that were born and raised in and around Hamtramck.
It used to be a bastion of hardworking, honest and fiercely patriotic (even if some of them were democrats) grandsons of immigrants from primarily Poland and Hungary.
I am astounded that there are so few of them left.
The last I was thru Hamtramck, it looked like a souk.
Dearborn was worse.
I almost thought that I had been transported to downtown Mogadishu.
A real shame.
At some point, we are going to have confront this situation.
It's only a matter of time.

IIRC Hamtramck has/had the call to prayer blasting away for quite some time.
East Dearborn is heavy Arab, West Dearborn is still a nice area.
If you go to Hamtramck or Dearborn take your dog, that will keep the Muzzies away.

My family is from Poletown, when the old Immaculate Conception church was eminent domain’d by Coleman Young we bought all the pews and railings.
Had an old time finish carpenter who knew what he was doing install it in our new house in Brighton, where it’s still looking as good as the day we did it back in ‘81.
