Sorry, Cruz is an unknown on this. He has been strangely silent on what he would do with the millions of illegals here. He says he’s not for ‘amnesty’, but so did McCain. Nobody admits to the ‘A’ word. Since he’s not saying, I gather he’d let them stay, which is amnesty (by definition).

Not only did he not back off, he doubled down. Then went further today about creating a deportation team.
The left is perplexed because they are so used to Republicans caving. I love watching him, and their reactions.
The question was not some form of “do you agree with Donald trump on immigration”. Yes/no. If that were the question he’d probably get 80-90%
The question was essentially “which candidate do you agree with mow on immigration”? He got nearly 50% of the party. That, as he’d say, is yuge!

We have other negatives that need correction but I put free trade and open borders at the top. We have been flooded with illegal immigrants during three presidencies. Bill Clinton, George W Bush and the worst stinker of them all, Hussein Obama. GW Bush was as bad as any Democrat on illegal immigration. One sign was the stupid, connected hacks and clowns he appointed to run the INS and Border Patrol. Also the infuriating prosecution of Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. Back then Glenn Beck was very good on this prosecution and was a talk show leader on it....

That’s an unnecessary sideshow of an argument. Start cutting off EVERYTHING to people if they cannot produce a valid form of identification to show that they are a citizen. No more food stamps, no driver’s licenses, no rental agreements, no mortgages.

Here’s a novel thought. Do NOT give these illegals benefits and $$$$....maybe they will go back on their own when they see we don’t give handouts to every Jose, Juanita and Jorge who come here illegally.
