STB, I am a Fundamentalist Baptist. I believe the Bible, cover to cover is the Word of God.
Salvation comes when a person accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior. It is an act of Faith that comes from the Word of God.
I prefaced that to say this, the Seveth Day Adventist organization as a whole is not Christian, but a large number of Adventists, individually, are saved. They believe salvation as I stated above. The EGW writings are guidance on living the “Christian” life.
I worked at the SDA headquarters for a year, building databases for Adventist Risk Management Insurance. First, when I took the contract, I was told it was for an insurance company, and only after I agreed to do it did I realize it was for the SDA. Had I backed out, it would be a mark against my character.
So after finding out, I asked to be let outof the contract, if I felt they were anti-Christian. Adventist Risk Management agreed, so during my lunch break, I studied their library, looking for evidence of errors, as well as speaking with the employees, not revealing that I was not an SDA until they shared what they believe.
In the end I told them I would work on the insurance databases, but not the church related stuff. I was comfortable that as I said above, many of the people are believers, but the church as a whole is wholly errant.
Salvation comes from the Bible, not a church, except that church tells forth the Bible. Else, how would you explain Martin Luther coming out from the Catholic church as a monk? He had his saving change come from astudy of the verse,,”The just shall live by faith.”
I agree it’s part of his testimony, and Trump is twisting it and defining it into something that it’s not. But If “pathological disease” is a made up term how could it anything else other than self deprecating?

I give Trump more credit than that. I doubt he read Carson’s book and is using it against him, this sounds like it’s coming from the Forehead or Serpenthead.
Yep. The worse alternative is he’s saying these things against his advisors suggestions.

I just had a chuckle thinking of what Trump’s new Secret Service agents thought of him inviting someone in the Iowa audience to come up and try to stab him.

Correct, Trump is twisting it into something that it’s not. It is a throw away term in Carson’s book about his violent youth before he found Christ. Trump is an ass for exploiting it.
I feel that none of them will uphold their fundamental obligations of their oaths That includes Ted Cruz he lost me when he voted for the corker Bill and his votes for TPA none of them have my support or my vote we must stick to fundamental principles of the constitution and return to the ideals of the founders there’s one person I can think of who shares those beliefs and should he decide to run he will have my support and my vote if he doesn’t then I will vote for the constitution party.
I am not buying some of these ‘I was for Trump, but he’s saying bad things about Carson, Rubio, so I am not for him any more’ callers.
They seem to be right out of the Luntz ‘I was for Trump, but now I am not’ focus group.
Pubbies have a history of rolling over and playing dead when attacked. Trump isn’t rolling over, even now. And the establish Republicans do not like that. The establish is so fearful of Trump that they are letting out rumors of drafting Romney. Seriously? The establishment wants Hillary elected more then many of the Democrats do.
Only Trump can beat Hillary machine. He had more star power.
