there is more....http://www.lagriffedulion.f2s.com/sft.htm
They are.
You know, I think that I’ve hit on something that would take care of all the issues upsetting both the Carrot-Top impersonator and that Veep of some students. They want privacy while out in the open, and to stop all discussion about anything with which they disagree and makes them uncomfortable. It’s really a rather simple and elegant solution which will take care of it.
MU simply needs to end all public funding. No federal or state funding, and no federal or state student aid or loans. Once they refuse those, and become a completely private institution, they’ll be able to limit speech and ban the press from their property.
Of course, this might put a cramp in student demands for “free” tuition, unless they can convince college professors, administrators, and grad-students (as well as all support staff) to work at no charge to the students.

Mizzou is now Miz-zoo.
The football players refused to play if the president didn't resign? WTF? They're football players, not some union dues-paying thugs. Do what Reagan did in the air traffic controllers strike when he was president. He just hired new controllers rather than meet their demands. The university should have kicked the protesting players off the team, and got some replacements, any replacements, to play the game they were so worried about losing money over.
My solution, in other words, is for the adults in the room to tell the toddlers in the room to buck up and get studying or they lose out. If they wanted some "safe space" of a powderpuff, foam covered room to go to for the protection of their feelings, they should drop out and go back to mommy and daddy's house and cry in their own pillows.
Basta! Enough of this coddling of today's put-upon, sorry-ass whimperers we call students. If this is the best the universities can do nowadays, I am glad I'll be six feet under before they get old enough to run the show. What a bunch of losers.
