ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - The US Department of Defense announced Wednesday it would deploy additional warplanes to the Turkish Incirlik Air Base as part its anti-ISIS coalition.

Speaking at a press conference at the Pentagon Wednesday, Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook announced the US had decided to send an additional 12 F15C warplanes to Incirlik.

Cook said the F-15C fighters will conduct combat air control and air patrols in Turkish airspace in response to a Turkish government request.

"We also announced that we will deploy additional F-15Es to Incirlik as part of our counter-ISIL operations," he said using an alternative acronym for ISIL. "Details on the number and the arrival time frame of those aircraft are still being determined. We expect they will be arriving soon."

“Cook said the F-15C fighters will conduct combat air control and air patrols in Turkish airspace in response to a Turkish government request”

Wait, F-15C’s are strictly air to air. I thought ISIS didn’t have an Air Force. That’s what I was told several times last several weeks.

Ha...how comes the Turks can't patrol their own air space...?

I guess all their planes are bombing the Kurds.

At this time it would seem that A-10s and AC-130s should be deployed against ISIS. Our Rules of Engagement need significant revision as well. The media will never report accurately so we should just go ahead and kill ISIS.

Kerry would have us believe disaffection of Assad created Daesh but they seam to be getting all their material support from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the US.

“Against ISIS”. LOL. These are for d*ck-waving at the Russians, in an attempt to push them out of Syrian airspace.

Assad harbored Saddam Hussein’s brother who he gave over to the Allied Forces eventually, Assad allowed Jihadis to plan attacks from Syria on US Troops and allowed camps there, Syria funnels weapons and missiles to Hamas and Hezbollah. Daddy Assad helped the bombing of the US Marines in Beirut. And Syria harbored the major Nazi war criminal Brunner, assistant to Eichmann.

All of this is historic fact, reported on 10 years ago versus the mickey mouse stories of Putin supporters.

If Assad protects Christians, you coulda fooled me and ask the Christians in Beirut about it during the Lebanese civil war.

Syria created ISIS. Russia like the Regime before, have done little against ISIS. Russia has plenty of blame too.

Mohammed Al-Saud is under no illusions. “In 2011, the majority of the current ISIS leadership was released from jail by Bashar Al Assad,” he said. “No one in the regime has ever admitted this, or explained why.” Al-Saud, a Syrian dissident with the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, left Syria under threat of arrest in 2011.

But, but, but, Assad protects Christians.

Guessing the Turks don’t have enough F-16’s to cover the frontier, and maybe their F-16’s lack a BVR capability? But hey the only aircraft flying around out there that could be considered a threat are Russian. What could go wrong?

When is this administration going to abandon the ISIL acronym? Nobody in the World calls them that. Everybody else calls them ISIS, a name which grants them more limited scope. Why do we go out of our way to use a name that grants the enemy more legitimacy?

If it were up to me, I would refer to them exclusively as “Terrorist Assholes in Syria and Elsewhere” (TASE), and show them the respect they deserve.

The Russians and Syrians must not be allowed to stop contract air drops to our Daesh and Al Qaeda allies not to interfere with Turkish operations against the Kurds

Sad that we have sunk so low, isn’t it

Disgusting isn’t it? It is supposed to be. It is another of the jackasse’s tactics to humiliate and anger us.

Our F-15Cs are so old I don’t think they are much of a threat to anyone. They can serve no good purpose but to inflame the situation. They are also there because of obunghole’s muzzie buddy erdogan. Giving huge benefit of doubt, maybe to discourage erdogan from stupidly shooting at the russians.

E models are at Lakenheath. No C models to my knowledge. Most of the 159 C and 34 D models are in ANG squadrons.
