In the days since Friday's horrific attacks in Paris—the most deadly act of terrorism on European soil in more than a decade—something approaching a consensus has emerged among politicos, pundits, and the political press corps in Washington: The fear-inducing violence in France could bring order to what has been a chaotic Republican presidential campaign here at home.
The New York Times reports that the attacks have "thrust national security to the heart of the presidential race, forcing candidates to scramble and possibly prompting voters to reconsider their flirtations with unconventional candidates." Bloomberg Politics calls it "an important gut-check moment for Republican voters who rank outsiders Donald Trump and Ben Carson as their top choices." And Politico declares that it has shifted the race, at least for now, "from a campaign for the presidency to a test for commander in chief."

That's actually significant. He lived under strict discipline there, learned something of military strategy, and developed friendships with peers who went on to service academies and military careers. Trump will know how to choose the best ones for advice on military matters.
It seems he's already getting good advice. He was in front of the curve, advocating stopping ISIS from getting oil revenue, keeping "the Trojan horse" out of Europe and thinking Putin disintegrating ISIS is a good thing, before the Paris Massacre.
I have a deep suspicion that a lot of people who were holding back are now saying Trump is the only one who "got it" and would be the best CIC.
I believe Trump would do everything he could to keep us safe! Go Trump!

Guess he will mark you undecided, then. :-)I would sooner have Cruz - but IMHO Trump has it in the bag. He has no need of contributions, he has his own $$$. What is more, he does not even have to use $$$ because he so readily gets so-called earned media.
And he has a patent on public perception that he cares about America continent-wide, not just in some places, and will not abide pc censorship. So I expect he will win the nomination, and that the general election will be a walkover.
After that, we will find out what we have bought. Which is an improvement over Obama, who we knew from the word go was not out for our interests.
So you would rather have Obama, who hates what the country has stood for in history? Perhaps Clinton, the most prolific liar imaginable. Let’s go for Carson whose temper may return to his youth and their would not be a belt buckle to stop the nuclear trigger. Perhaps you will vote for Bush and Rubio and prefer to be overrun by illegals and migrants.

I believe Ann Coulter is right. The primary that counts took place in Paris last Friday, and Trump won in a landslide.
ITS WAR FOLKS! The soft, reason with the Islamic nut cases didn’t work. We must try Plan B—Blow them to H*ll. Trump is the only one with guts to do it and not go all wobblie on us. We need to work with Russia and France (and others to come) to end this. Trump could do it—no so much others.
