Russia destroys 500 ISIL petrol tankers in military video Nick Pearson

Russia has released video showing its warplanes destroying a convoy of 500 ISIL petrol tankers smuggling oil from Syria to Iraq.

The black and white footage shows the enormous procession of trucks being destroyed by bombs dropped by Russian planes.

Illegally sold oil is a major source of income for Islamic State, and in recent weeks both Russia and the US have been targeting their so-called "pipeline on wheels".

"In just the first few days, our aviation has destroyed 500 fuel tanker trucks, which greatly reduced illegal oil export capabilities of the militants and, accordingly, their income from oil smuggling," Colonel-General Andrey Kartapolov told RT.

Russia is now developing proposals for joint military action with the French navy against IS in Syria.

The US has also announced its coalition has destroyed 116 oil tankers in Abu Kamal in Syria's east.

To minimise the risk to the civilian drivers of the ISIL oil tankers, leaflets were dropped before the bombings to give them a chance to abandon their vehicles.

"Warning: airstrikes are coming. Get away from your oil trucks immediately," the leaflets read.

The Pentagon also reported that Syrian rebels have reclaimed al-Hawl on November 14 after ISIL withdrew from the city.

How did we miss 500 tankers lined up in a row in almost 2 years of bombing? Where is congress to investigate? Or is it the dirty little secret of our foreign policy establishment that the war against ISIS in Syria was for show? Was McCain and Graham in on this deception via briefings?

Putin will get Trump elected, and is unmasking Obama as well.

I had heard they were taken off the target list because civilian drivers might be driving the trucks. This is per Lou Dobbs’ show.

LOL!

Maybe our towelheaded leader wasn’t that interested in blowing them up.

It is amazing the Russian government is on the side of good in this situation. Those that supported Obama are responsible for putting in that evil pos.

Now Obama must build a “Keystone Pipeline” from Syria to Iraq.

I think the French hit some of the mostly empty IS buildings in the first round of air attacks this week.

Any excuse for Obama to support them while pretending he is doing the opposite will be used.

The real question is how we could have given the French a whole list of targets, coordinates and all, in the last few days if we have been engaging ISIS - IOW, why the phuck were they still in existence - all it would have taken was 20-30 sorties a day of A-10s and AC-130s for a month or two, and there would have been no targets left that were worthy of being bombed.

Putin, doing the job one American won’t.

Why warn them? That will allow them to disperse.

I'm not sure how much warning was given. Me, I'd have given them about 10 seconds. First plane drops the leaflets, every other plane drops bombs or shoots the $hit out of the convoy with 30mm or 40mm or 105mm shells (depending on whether you're using A-10s, AC-130s or both). Oh, and the leaflets would be in English.
