How can this be? It’s impossible! FNC’s “Special Report” had two panelists proclaim Trump had a worse week than Zero, Kerry, and Mrs. Clinton while Jeb demonstrated a “serious and sober grasp” of foreign policy.

That Bush ad cracks me up, because Yeb is like a yapping dog chasing a car. He’ll never catch it, and wouldn’t know what to do if he did.
Change the filters on this poll to registered republican likely primary voters and you get a better reflection. Still, a poll that doesn’t publish its internals always has to be looked at with some suspicion.
Impossible! I read an article in the press a few days ago and it said he was surging - surging! - in the polls.
“Euthanasia Ben” is also “Amnesia Ben”.
And as a Trump supporter, I’m not real thrilled about that.
I think Ted is a good guy. If I thought he could win the primary and the general election I would be pushing for him. I don’t see a snow-ball’s chance in hell of him getting the nomination.
I don’t want to go into November of 2016 with another luke warm bucket of horse sweat with an (R) after his name.
For that reason I am backing a man that does have a chance.
You touch on a point I dread. Let’s say it takes us four or five primaries in for folks to finally grasp that Cruz can’t get the nomination. (And you know darn well they’ll never accept it until a Lefty has it the nomination sewn up) What then? They’ve trashed Trump as hard as they could.
So what do we do, wind up with Bush, Rubio, Christie, or some other guy none of us will vote for?
Reagans and Trumps don’t come along very often.
We either take advantage of this, or wait another thirty-five years.

Yes, Ted Cruz is my man. I have never trashed Trump...
I just hope he sees the value of Cruz on the ticket.

Personally, I think Trump is Cruz’s back up plan. He’s been cordial and I want to see them form a partnership.
It would be a very good match-up IMO.
Both could help and support the other.
Trump couldn’t have to worry about Ted being a loose cannon. He could set him on a task and Cruz would be Trump II getting it done.
That’s not meant as a put-down either.
We need an effective team.

Their polls always low end Trump and bring him closer to the second-placer. I have a suspicion that they weigh Evangelicals extremely high in those polls, thus pushing up Carson and Cruz, who probably have a high percentage of those votes, whereas Trump’s base is broader.
And Tippy-Toes will be right there with him.
