Cooke's piece nicely tees up my feelings about Trump and his ideology.

Convince me I wrong.

We live in a dangerous time. We need a strong state.

Any one who hasn’t paying attention to the disintegration of the world around us hasn’t been paying attention.

There is a long road ahead to restore America.

It won’t survive by being weak and leading from behind.

Donald Trump is the anti-Obama.

Why bother? You'd just keep pushing out stuff like this without realizing it doesn't matter. People are not looking for detailed issues candidates. No, they are looking for leadership, people with the right big picture values, goals, and so forth. Someone will to say it like it is and to H31l with political correctness.

So, who are you aligning with now? Bush, Rubio?

And by the way, Trump is VERY willing to say No and the article is simply playing cute with this to try and score some points. No intelligent person would really think he goes around only saying Yes.

I would not be quite as critical as this author..

I tend to be more critical of the Trump admiration society then Trump himself..

I like the guy. He’s brash, he’s a quintessential New Yawker! He’s a Nor’easter law and order guy and that too is typical of the more rational in the metropolis.

But all that brashness and what looks like it’s supposed to be common sense, does not appear to have any substance because he never explains how he came to these opinions or how he will make America great again, for that matter.

I want the answers and the reasons for the answers...the footnotes, if you will. (and I want it from the man, not some campaign policy writer)

So for me, he’s shallow water. Interesting ripples but you can’t see through to the bottom. You have to take his word for it. Then I always ask myself, word for what?

We have a better candidate. His name is Cruz. He’s got all that Trump has plus what is missing.

It’s her job.

She’ll deny it, but she’s a paid hack.

OK, so Trump is too brash and abrasive, yet when he gives the standard cocktail party “Uh-uh” agreement to a nobody with a wacky idea (in this case a reporter with an agenda) then he’s a bad guy for not berating him on the spot. Got it.

The writer is an vocal supporter of homosexual marriage and finds Trump a false conservative. I sense somebody lobbying to take over for George Will when he finally gets too old to opine without coming across like Grandpa Simpson with John Lennon spectacles.

Color me unimpressed. I expect Trump to be the target of set-up after set-up. It was only a little while ago that team Jeb sent a girl to paint Trump as part of the bogus “war on women” and stare him down, all indignant and arms akimbo as he answered her planted questions at a public forum. This latest nonsense is just a variation on the theme.

It’s going to get much nastier. His family will be targeted. Outright lies and smears are in the works. He’ll be falsely tagged as not being able to win against Hillary when he is ahead in every poll matching Trump up with that old grifter.

Oh, and the Dems won’t be launching these attacks. This is coming from the GOP establishment, those same folks who suckered us with Boehner, McConnell and now Ryan. The same bunch who won’t put up anything other than a show fight on Obamacare, amnesty and TPP, and who surrendered on homosexual marriage.

Frankly, I’m sick of polished, glib “conservative” politicians who know all the right things to say on the campaign trail and then go all Benedict Arnold once they get elected. The GOPe is going Kamikaze on Trump because if nominated by popular demand he will beat Hillary and that’s a GOPe disaster. Hillary speaks their language, they can deal with her. Trump, not so much.

We should be careful. Trump says he’ll bomb the s**t out of ISIS, and the next day Paris gets the ISIS treatment. If the GOPe and Libs make too much hay out of the manufactured tracking muslims kerfuffle, we are liable to see one of our cities get hit with a dirty bomb, or a chem or bio attack that has everyone screaming that we should have been tracking all the muslims in the country.

[Art.] As has been made abundantly clear by his incessant mewling and pathetically thin skin, Donald J. Trump is not in fact an unwaveringly resolute tough guy of the type you would hope to find standing next to you in the trenches, but an insecure attention seeker who cannot help but pander to his audiences' prejudices.
CW Cooke's piece nicely tees up my feelings ..... Convince me I wrong.

Wrong about your feelings, CW? How?

But Chuck, quit waffling and crayfishing, and tell us how you really feel.

Wm. F. Buckley would throw up on his successors, putting out this mealy-mouthed New York Yacht Club locker-room drivel under the masthead of his publication. Buckley was elegant, antinomian, a true individualist. He'd burn his magazine to the ground rather than see it used as a Park Avenue buttwipe by the Rockefeller wing of the GOP and a sluice for Four Hundred prolefeed.

“Convince me I wrong.”

Given your history, I can’t imagine why anyone would want to bother.

So hows Scot Walker doing? LOL

Ben Carson, your new candidate, (I call him the Pyramid Grain Man), will crash and burn soon enough. LOL

Cheers.....

Isn’t Trump saying “No “ to ISIS-infiltrated refugees and “No” to illegal immigrants?

I’m a Cruz guy, but those two issues are huge to me. I could stand behind him on those two alone if he wins the nomination.

Nobody is going to convince you your head is firmly implanted.

You’ll have to work that out for yourself.

It must be great working for Reince.

How do you look yourself in the mirror? That’s all I want to know.

Bubble gum wrappers used to have more intelligent material on them than is in this article.

Then you call it a “piece that nicely tees up your feelings”.

One wonders who teed up the writer’s “feelings”.

Feelings. That’s your claim to fame for this tripe.

Talk about a waste of everyone’s time.

About all these little exercises do is reveal that you have no integrity.

I’m no trump fan, but this piece is dishonest at its core and totally misrepresents trumps responses to these inane question. And need I add that no one can control what idiocy will spew from the mouth of a reporter. Or from the fingers of a journalistic hit man.

You’ve got the media, the dems and the GOPe RINOs and amnesty pimps coughing up hairballs.

It's normal not to say no until one has their facts. Asking for a flat-out "yes" or "no" to a gothca' question is unfair.

I don't understand the point of trying to deny Trump the nomination. He was the only one who was ahead of the curve with total anger and disgust about ISIS, and a focus on that and stopping the invasion of the US. Re-establishing borders is part of what needs to happen in order to thwart global terror.

If the 'pub establishment figures out some dirty trick to deny Trump the nomination, we're looking at a hillary presidency, for sure. I don't get it that the establishment is willing to accept that.

The day is incomplete until the last TRUMP defamation article written that day is read. And for the past 24 plus hours this has been a busy day indeed.

To all the anti TRUMPS across this fruited plain... remember this- He leads at the moment, he is a proven, accomplished AMERICAN man who gets things done, makes it happen, gets the ball rolling, shakes it up. He makes a practice at being successful and it shows.

So let it be said, every possible move has been attempted to bring this Man down. And guess what? HE IS STILL STANDING. The suggestion to you would be give it up. You begin to look like fools after so much time and this is the point where that begins...

The last attempt indicates the barrel has been scraped clean...there is only one other way to get the job done in bringing him down. And THAT is unlawful. If used, you might not live to regret it and if you happened to live, it might be behind bars. Allow the man to continue to campaign. It’s his right to do so, just as it is yours to refuse to vote for him or anyone else. BUT STOP with the constant lies and fairy tales. It does not help you nor does it help our AMERICA. After all, we’re in this together at least we were at one time not long ago.

TO the MFM - It’s time you took a pledge to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

GO TRUMP! GO CRUZ! ~ YOU WIN OR WE LOSE!!
