I would encourage you to read up on old threads about Terri from during the timeframe of 2003 to 2005. I believe you are greatly misinformed about Terri in many many regards.
Better yet, write to her brother Bobby. He is telling the truth, and always has.
You may be right about one thing. If you are being starved and dehydrated the way Terri was, you may wish to die a quicker more peaceful death. A beheading by a member of ISIS seems less barbaric than the method used to murder Terri.
Just speaking my mind here.
My mistake then. It seemed like a joke to me.
ALL the talk about Terri’s mental and physical state is totally irrelevant for one simple reason: She was not dying.
In order for Terri to die, she had to be murdered. And she was murdered.
Terri’s family was perfectly willing to care for her. It was her husband who wanted to murder her.
Jeb Bush fought to keep Terri alive—by requesting OTHERS to save her. This kept her alive for several years. When it came time for HIM to act to save her life, he hid under his desk.
The kiss of death...I will never forgive Jebbie or the state of Florida (or anyone who supports this) for the death of this innocent...I cried through this whole horrific episode.
Spot on.
I cried while they were killing her....on the way to work, etc.
It was a dark time.
Dr Carson, the DOCTOR
+1
Apparently he missed the class on the Hippocratic Oath.
Go away Ben.
I like Dr. Carson but he is out of his league and his campaign is over. He is not ready to be the President of the United States.
Carson is not, and never has been, ready for prime time.
He’ll make a handsome living off of his book sales and speeches.
But President?
No way.
We need an executive with a proven track record and who is not beholden to special interests—like Trump.
Because by January, 2017, this country will be in worse shape than it is now.
I want to add something to my answer:
“Wasn’t it up to the family?”
NO. It was up to the STATE. Because Terri was not dying. It was the duty of the State of Florida (including the Governor) to stop the murder, by force if necessary, as in all police confrontations with murderers.
Instead, the State of Florida used force to ensure that Terri was murdered. By rights, the family could have shot the police officers who were standing guard over Terri. And the Governor, Jeb Bush, should have sent police officers or troops to the nursing home, with orders to apprehend or kill anyone who was participating in the murder of Terri Schiavo.
