Paul: U.S. should “absolutely not” monitor mosques, create Muslim database

Calling Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump’s stance on the topic “disqualifying,” Kentucky U.S. Sen. Rand Paul said on CBS’s ‘Face the Nation’ Sunday that he opposed government surveillance at mosques and establishing databases to track Muslims.

“Yes we should follow people who are a risk,” Paul said. “Should we talk to their neighbors and friends, should we talk to their imam? Sure, all of that is legitimate, but should we target mosques and have a database of Muslims?

“Absolutely not, and I think that’s disqualifying for both Donald Trump and Marco Rubio to say that we’re going to close down every place that potentially has a discussion that might lead to extremism. That would require some sort of religious czar that I think isn’t consistent with our freedom.”

Trump raised both policies on the campaign trail and television interviews this week in light of terrorist attacks carried out by Islamic State militants in Paris that left 130 dead Nov. 13.

On Thursday, Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio said during an appearance on Fox News that any place “where radicals are being inspired” should be shuttered.

Paul, polling 10th in the GOP presidential field according to an average by Real Clear Politics, also touched on a bill he filed to halt new U.S. visas for citizens of countries with jihadist movements.

That follows calls from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for President Barack Obama’s administration to “pause” the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the U.S. and reexamine the procedure.

Paul pointed to a pair of Iraqi refugees who were arrested in Bowling Green on terrorism charges in 2011 and the 2013 Boston Marathon

No perhaps not.

But we should have a data base of all immigrants and holders of visitor, tourist, work and student visas from nations know to sponsor terrorist activities and these persons should be digitally monitored via that wonderful NSA facility in Utah.

WE might also include alien persons known to have visited those nations and alien persons from nations that have substantial numbers of terrorist originating from that nation.

it will not be necessary to watch the Islamics once we succeed in repatriating them to their own countries (you know, the 57 states they’ve already invaded, subjugated the infidels like you and me... and taken over)

until then, we must and will defend ourselves against the Enemy Within

There are many things people cannot say publicly, for risk of losing their livelihoods. Should preaching treason be exempt from official scrutiny? I say NO.

I would not say I’m ready, because this is a public forum. But if threatened, I would.

Yeah, when his dad’s district got wiped out by Hurricane Ike, Ron declined to press for Emergency status because he ‘felt’ it wasn’t right. No idea why they keep electing him. Or is he retired? I don’t know.

The rest of us shouldn't be under the government scrutiny either - hopefully that's part of Paul's meme.

But, things being the way they are, the Muzzies shouldn't be excluded until the rest of us are....

Nice going, Paul. Use the media lie about ‘Muslim registries’ to further your own cause.

Islam has been around almost 1400 years. Christianity and the West already defeated Islam. Islam could cause a problem, but it it has already lost. Leftism, however, is a great threat to the West. Right now, they are using Islam. Losing sight of the real threat is a big mistake.

No one is talking about creating a muslim registration list except the media, Yeb and Paul. They really want it badly.

I beg your pardon. If Islam has been defeated, someone forgot to inform the muslims. And someone forgot to drive a stake through its heart so it can never rise again.

Do not look now but that is what all the current fuss is about in Europe. Islam is back on the conquest rampage and they have damn near got Europe in the bag.

And Europe most cooperatively welcomed them in. Foreign labor is a Trojan Horse. Mass immigration is an invasion.

And the Marxist/fascist liberal dhimmicrats are busily clearing the way for them to invade and conquer here.

Marxist/fascist Islam is a perfect match made in hell for our Marxist/fascist liberal dhimmirats.

They can convert to Christianity or Judaism.

They can pay the tax.

They can die.

Seems only fair it is what they do to us.
