Cruz: This president is beyond parody
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/24/15 | Daniel Chaitin

Posted on 11/25/2015 3:19:19 AM PST by markomalley

Presidential candidate Ted Cruz, R-Tex., criticized President Obama for being "out of touch" for comments he made Tuesday suggesting that stopping climate change would send a strong message to the Islamic State that Western values cannot be deterred by terrorism.

Cruz, speaking to Fox News' Megyn Kelly, condemned Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry for telling Americans "that they think essentially your SUV in the driveway is a greater threat to our security than is ISIS, than is a nuclear Iran and it makes no sense whatsoever."

"You know what would be a real rebuke to ISIS? When we kill the terrorists before they carry out another terror attack here at home murdering innocent Americans," Cruz answered.

The Texas senator said "it's gotten to the point where I don't think 'Saturday Night Live' can even parody this president anymore."

During a press conference with French President Francois Hollande Tuesday afternoon at the White House, Obama said that next week's international climate summit in Paris will be "a powerful rebuke to the terrorists" showing that "the world stands as one and shows that we will not be deterred from building a better future for our children."

Let see if as you said the words about Cruz was merely a small slight and the my pointing it out was in the same category, but your hysterical running to the mods was prudent?

And you presume to lecture ME about my command of the English language?

If I'm understanding your train-wreck of a post correctly, you already admitted you took offense to a backhanded compliment. Trying to draw equivalence to Paulist spamming is idiocy on the BLM level.

Furthermore, running to the mods it what you do when you have a histrionic troll screeching "troll, troll" at calm reasoned posters.

The oft-forgotten reality is it’s only actual votes that count, not answered phone polls or media rhetoric etc. Question is how many “sure I’d vote for Trump!” actually will. I’ve seen too many polls go horribly wrong when the actual vote happened.

The Jeb ground game rhetoric was proactive, trying to create momentum where it wasn’t. Cruz is getting actual momentum, reported on afterwards.

Cruz can avoid the McCain/Romney treatment because he is VERY good at debating, and because Trump is legitimizing a great deal of turf Cruz would be hard-pressed to plow himself (not a dig at Cruz, just there’s some issues that he can’t broach but Trump can). McCain was a political centrist, so he couldn’t deal with right-wing issues. Romney didn’t want the job. Neither knew how to handle media opposition & distortion.

You trying to misrepresent me does not change the outstanding question.

Naaaa. Merely repeating what you said in effect.

But to answer your question, she's a managing director which puts her above vice president, one level below the top.

Managing director in Houston. Managing the wealth of families worth $40 million or over. She had nothing to do with the bailouts or negotiations/secret deals between Goldman head office in New York and the Obama people in DC and New York, which her husband strongly opposed. The Trumpbots would have us believe everyone that works for Goldman is a crook. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Anyone who thinks Cruz would be Trumps VP is shown their total ignorance of both men.

Agreed.

I never said it was. I made reference to other threads and have a link.to one of the threads from yesterday. The Trumpbots have been foaming at the mouth on Ted Cruz threads. Meanwhile, I hardly.ever post on Trump.threads apart from to defend Trump from.nasty attacks of racism from. The LaRaza crowd.

It's not forgotten. It just falls into meaninglessness against overwhelming precursors. It is fatuous to insist smoke is not a reasonable indicator of fire, and while it may be true, citing it as a reason not to check for the fire is foolish.

You're missing the point. They're not going to LET him get into debates that let him shine.

As much as I like Cruz, I simply see nothing in him that can overcome the media opposition that marginalizes our candidates with tedious regularity.

And you would have us believe the candidate and his superPAC really don't have any communication....

If Cruz can’t overcome media opposition, then Trump is the best hope of doing so - the other candidates have less chance than Cruz (see how Carson is melting down); only Trump has the sheer money and business connections to overcome (can probably throw a billion dollars of his own cash at this, no need for fundraising distractions) or stop (can directly affect actual bottom lines) the media opposition.

On this we agree.

While I like Cruz best of any of the candidates, I just don’t believe he’s prepared to fight fourth generation war against the Gramcian media.

My we think a lot of yourself...

Well at least we can agree on that.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same about your vapid "I know you are, but what am I" riffs.

I don’t know. It seems many freepers and other people with common true enemies of humanity, can be manipulated to divide them, thereby weakening the movement against the real enemies. The RAT party and their old, but corrupt media complex, are very clever at dividing their opposition. I simply refuse to fall for it. It is a transparent tactic with a history of 2000 years. You have a good Thanksgiving.
