Repugnant Religious Litmus Tests
The New York Times ^ | NOV. 24, 2015 | The Editorial Board

Posted on 11/25/2015 10:25:57 AM PST by detective

During the terrorist attack on a hotel in Mali last Friday, there were reports that hostages who could recite the Muslim profession of faith were set free; those who could not were killed. That the Islamic State, Al Qaeda, the Taliban or other fanatical Islamist sects measure the worth of a human life according to his or her religious belief is barbaric. Yet the impulse among American politicians like Jeb Bush and Senator Ted Cruz and Hungary's prime minister, Viktor Orban, to offer refuge only to Christians fleeing war is as appalling.

The New York Times Editorial Board states that not allowing Muslim terrorists into your country is "as appalling" as attacking a hotel and murdering everyone who is not a Muslim.

And yet I bet their top executives don’t think twice about hobnobbing with the (notoriously intolerant) Saudis.

Actually, we could probably plant an idea among liberals and they would happily support a test of whether an immigrant believes in global warming to get into the country.

That the ...Moslems... measure the worth of a human life according to his or her religious belief is barbaric.

Well, yes. Moslems are barbarians and primitives.

The 99.99% muslim content of the “refugees” suggests that they have already been subjected to a religious litmus test. The difference, of course, is that the current test is one that the NYT heartily approves of.

False equivalency. Barring people from entering one’s country based on their politico-religious persuasion is not the same as murdering people who profess the “wrong” faith.

The equivalent would be the United States hunting down muslimes and killing them anywhere in the world. When you show me that happening, we can talk. In the meantime, Slimes, try another propaganda trick.

When you realize Islam is not a religion by any standard, it is not repugnant at all.

What is offensive is the non-stop river of excrement in print that is known as the New York Times.

Truly evil.

Christians are a persecuted religious minority - and this could be proven in almost every Muslim country. Our law lets them come to America. It is in the law!

Are they less likely to blow up buildings and kill innocent people? Yes, and that is a nice side benefit.
