Were you listening to the bugle when registered Republican Donald Trump voted twice for Clinton and called Clinton “the best president in my [Trump’s] life time?”
Did you support Trump when he quit the GOP in 2000 and sought the presidential nomination from Ross Perot’s Reform Party?
Did you support Trump when he briefly ran for president as a Democrat in 2004? Did you vote for John Kerry in 2004, like Trump did?
Did you support Trump when he briefly sought the Democrat nomination for governor of New York in 2006?

I don’t believe anything the man says.
That is a valid reason not to support him, or to vote for him, and to oppose him.
Most Freepers usually give that laundry list, and can't really put their finger on the few words that sum up their real reason they don't like Trump.

I actually do like Trump - smart, high energy, good sense of humor, a fighter.
But I would never let Trump manage MY money.
And I do not want Trump to manage MY country.

I'll give it another try, I obviously didn't do a good job the first time.
Would you, or anyone else for that matter, vote for someone who they think is deliberately lying to them, especially if the voter recognizes those lies are being told for the sole purpose of gaining their vote?
Of course they wouldn't, and, in this case neither should you.

I’m making this a separate post, as it deals with a facet of my earlier post.
I think the large majority of anti-Trump sentiment, at least here on FR, is based on the fact that they think he’s lying to get votes.
I also think that very few of them (this may include you)have any serious disagreement with his current stated positions, or his position papers.
They just find the discrepancies with earlier statements made by him too much to reconcile.
And so they want nothing to do with him.
Fair enough, I think that is a very valid reason.
What sort of bothers me is that most anti-Trumpers go into this long litany of Trumps history of this that and the other thing.
I’m not going to argue that aspect, other than to say that that history is easily understood by those of us who have been in business ourselves.

You were smart to cut to the chase at the end of your earlier post when you said you don’t trust him. I wish more posters would do that.
I respect that, and I won’t waste your time, or insult you by trying to change your mind.
