There were almost enough gun sales (assuming these background checks were all sales and all single guns) to arm the entire USMC, and many Marines would defend the Constitution over the communist thug in our White House. FedGov is incapable of confiscating our guns, and any attempt would almost certainly lead to an immediate and ugly civil war. I imagine Obama would love that, but I expected better from O’Malley, as stupid and treasonous as he is.
