I would support more aggressively taking down jihadi web sites. Does that count as rolling up the internet?>>>
that’s what he was saying.

it scares you that we might try to shut down Jihadi communication on the internet?.. holy crap man that’s how they were created and recruit to this day.. The extremists using Jihadi web sites was what help kill all those innocent people in San Bernardino

The context of Trump’s remarks concerned the influence ISIS is having on youth. Regardless of his Interwebs experience, his point is meaningful — shutdown the ISIS propaganda machine.

so I guess you don’t want to understand what he was saying.. It is not Unconstitutional to take away the ability of extremists to slaughter innocent people just like you don’t have the Constitutional right to yell fire in a theater

Trump's "success" is a media brand image.

You anti-Trump guys make points. You do. They don't change the fact that we need a powerwash to blow the scum off the back seat of the cab. (Yes, It's a Taxi Driver reference) I'd love to be a 1/10th as smart as Ted Cruz but he needs to go some to be as tough and influential as his old lady. Also, he's not likeable. Think recently retired, on medicare, worried about security but don't want to be thrown out in the street because of the 10th Amendment voters. I know people and their moving to Trump. You have to start somewhere. Cruz will never be elected President. If you won't vote for Trump, OK. Your vote will be made up by a Trump Democrat.

All I see is another tool in the liberals arsenal to use against US when they inevitably resume power.

Google “Trump” “Internet” and you’ll find numerous sources saying the same thing.

If that was as far as it went, sure. But unintended consequences never seem to stop there. Calling on Bill Gates to solve the issue is like having Jeff Gordon work on your car. Yea they are great at what they do, but not so hot getting their hands dirty in the details.

Honestly, Has Gates done anything on a computer but Email in 20 years? Gates is a businessman now/so called philanthropist. He stopped being a techie and hack/coding a long long time ago. And Gates wants right wing thoughts/actions controlled to begin with.

If you want to shut down Jihad on the net, you go to Google, not Microsoft. And you can imagine what the result of that would be.

My problem with this is who regulates the regulators. We have an unregulated, out of control, FED, an IRS that targets political enemies of the President, and an Executive willfully flouting the Constitution.

First they come for the known enemies. Then they invent enemies. How long before FR is designated an incubator of domestic terrorism?

Agree!!!

Yep. It seems that the only hope we have is in the Constitution. The answers, or most of them, are there. It’s just a matter of finding a leader who will stand for the Constitution, who understands it, and give him a Congress that will back his play.

I agree!!

The liberals would shout with glee once they have control over the Internet.

It’s not a far stretch to know that once this is put into place they will shut down web sites like Free Republic or prohibt Christian’s free speech.

The law of Unintended consequences.

You are right!!

As long as it does not violate 1st Amendment rights, I say go for it.

Use the internet as a tool to start tracking these animals instead of tracking grandma in her hoverround and monitoring how many times she changed her depends.

No he didn’t say the whole internet...

But let’s just say the next president is a liberal.
What areas of the Internet would he/she determine to be dangerous.

Would they determine pro-life websites should be closed because someone shot someone in a planned parenthood facility?

"Ted Cruz Auditions for The Simpsons"
If Gates shuts down the internet, how are we supposed to watch Ted Cruz's video?

I guess I could wait until the democrats' convention next summer, when they show that video to the thirty-five million or so people watching on prime-time tv.
