Preparing for?

They’ve been contesting their base, disrespecting our awareness, and attacking conservatives and Trump and anyone else that tries to get this country running the way it’s supposed to since Poppy Bush slammed Reagan in the primaries.

Note to GOP establishment leadership: you have been warned. If one of your precious lying, cringing, sold-out, PC, DC insider GOP establishment scum who continuously stabs we American workers in the back is nominated, I promise you ARE going to lose and lose big time. In case you haven’t noticed, the great unwashed masses of your “base” are in open revolt.

We elected you to majorities in both houses of Congress and you’ve done NOTHING to stop a single iota of Obama’s kommie, U.S.A-destroying agenda. Instead, all you’ve done is make excuses, pretended you were powerless when you were simply too frightened to wield your power and conducted kabuki theater which you thought was fooling us.

Well, we DO actually know better. And if you want to take the whole party down in flames, why, we’ll be glad to help, because what we have now deserves to go down in flames, either with Trump or without him.

Nuking TRUMP is a scorched earth policy because any hand-picked RINO will lose in a landslide because you will have terminally pissed-off 40% of your base, and you will also lose the down-ticket across the board, including Congress, the Governors, and the State houses, because the base will stay home.

If you nuke Trump at the convention, the GOP is done as an ongoing concern and, like the Whig party, you’ll be relegated to the dustbin of history.

So, go ahead, and “broker” the convention and see what happens. I dare you!

If the polls are right, Trump will most every primary. If that happens there will be no brokered convention. It will be a walk for Trump

After watching the news today, I am making sure I have my ballot for the CO Rep primary....

Haven’t voted in a primary in a while... but I will this year, if I can (I voted in a primary while still living in Denver).

Anyway, I get calls from the Reps all the time asking for money, etc... so I hope I will be able to vote to give it back to them. ;)

Last night, listening to the Canadian news... they were saying that “European leaders are lining up against Trump.”

And I was remembering being a college student in Germany when Reagan was president (he was the first person I voted for!)...everyone HATED him... And I thought to myself, hey, if the world hates some American, it’s usually because that person loves America.

My daughter said, “Are you serious? You like Trump? Why?”

I said, “Because he puts America first.” Then I laughed to myself, realizing that it is his slogan, I think...? But that is the thing I think when I hear him talk about the issues of the day. He doesn’t equivocate, he doesn’t dance around things. He is clear. He loves America and is sick and tired of people apologizing for it.

Particularly our president, who bows and scrapes to others at the first opportunity.

GOP, you do this at your own peril!!!

BB’s John Hayward wrote this today and is good analysis of what will happen:

“(Here’s something else for you to accept, you alien-overlord Vogons of the GOP Establishment: you’re never coming back if Hillary Clinton wins in 2016 after you arrogantly declare you’d prefer her to Trump. She’ll finish Obama’s “transforming America” project to make sure you’re not electorally viable on the national level, and the Democrat mania for collectivist power will make all your House and state government victories largely meaningless, and you’ll have a very hard time convincing a large and enraged segment of your base to work for your prospective return to power in 2020 or 2024.)”

It's not going to be contested. They can't change the rules until the convention. And the current rules say that you have to win 7 primaries to be nominated. They'd have to change that rule at the convention to thrwart Trump. And by then Trump is going to have won most if not all of the primaries. Who in their right mind is going to contest? If they contest one of three things will happen:
  1. Trump will still win the nomination in a landslide and the contesting is going to look like a wimpy effort by GOPe miscontents.
  2. If they do somehow manage to rig the convention to block Trump, Trump WILL go third party and probably will still win the election.
  3. If the GOPe really has any significant support, which I seriously doubt, they will split the party and throw the election to the Democrats.

If there are any GOP(e) turds lurking out there. One message needs to be sent to your ilk loud and clear.......

Any attempt to freeze out Trump or Cruz will result in blow back of epic proportions. In the general election , the GOP won't crack 35%. Bank on it!!!!!

Your screwing of conservatives is over.

Levin is talking about this right now. The NRSC and NRCC, who I told you about selling bogus Trump gear is in the middle of this. If they can do this to a Donald Trump, how does any republican think this pit of vipers represent them?

We need to expose the dirty tricks these GOP groups use against us!

The talking heads need to be covering this scam against Trump supporters.

See: More GOP fundraising on the Trump name! Now its the Senate!

I predict Trump will still out maneuver these GOP clowns at their convention, and being the spineless that they are, they’ll fold like cheap suits(sorry for the cliche). It’s in their nature.

By all means, insert another Dole/McCain/Romney into the top spot.

That is a guaranteed winner/s

With all respect to the politically learned here: this is exactly what the Democrats want. In my humble opinion, Trump is a plant for Hillary just like Perot was twice for her husband. The Republicans will split between Cruz, the only God-honest legitimate conservative in the race that could win, and Trump, because he’s charismatic and brash. But let’s be honest here: he is not a conservative. He’s pushing all the hot buttons to rile up the base. He’s the only GOP guy who’s refused to back another runner. Don’t you all get it? It doesn’t matter who runs against Hillary if Trump has any opposition. They will split the anti-Left and we’ll get 8 years of Hillary. Remember Perot and remember Bull Moose.

Again, with all respect to those who support Mr. Trump, he’s not the worst but he’s not the best. Ted Cruz is.

The difference is Bush is trying to save his party while Trump is trying to save his nation.

Just curious. Shouldn’t the GOP prepare for this anyway? Trump might win a lot of delegates but possibly not enough to put him over the top. It would make sense IMO.

Suppose Trump decides to go third-party and other significant candidates, such as Cruz and Rubio, decide to join his third-party, do you think this would guarantee that the third-party would have the winning nomination and lead to the demise of the GOPe?

Translated that becomes “they are arranging a brokered convention so that they can deny Trump the nomination”.
