I am not Trump guy but if he wins, he wins. The GOP would disappear overnight if they did this. Are they really that stupid? Never mind, don’t answer. They really are.

If Trump and Cruz run Independant - there will be no GOPe candidate - love it. Watch them “nominate” Jeb Bush

If Trump is still leading in the National Polls at the time, it will be GOP 1854-2016

Are these ‘leaks’ intentional with the purpose of trying to drive Trump to leave the GOP and run as a 3rd party?

==

Why else would the GOP establishment be willing to almost relinquish a definite win (of the White House) in favor of an establishment lackey, thus giving Hillary Clinton the election?

If the GOP-E hates Trump that much, he must be alright.

They’ll lose if they don’t get behind him or Cruz. But they’ll be perfectly fine with a Dem prez. The GOPe make me sick.

Please say that was rhetorical or you forgot to insert a sarcasm tag.

"And if front-runner Donald Trump is still ahead at the end, several unnamed "longtime power brokers" reportedly urged the Republican Party to prepare for a floor fight to nominate a more acceptable alternative."

The Founding States had never intended for the POTUS to be elected by popular vote. But the anti-constitutional republic Progressive Movement effectively defeated the purpose of the electoral college that elects the president by getting the states to let low-information voters, voters indoctrinated by the corrupt media, vote for progressive candidates.

But now, thanks to maverick businessman Trump, the constitutionally baseless popular vote for president seems to be backfiring on the Progressive Movement. =^)

“If Donald Trump is a faux conservative, as some claim, why is the Political Establishment so determined to destroy his candidacy?”

If you get a coherent answer that doesn’t careen into conspiracy theory land, you will be the first.

Good luck!

The GOP.

In a full stall, with a flameout and no chute.

And they still want to pull the stick back, thinking they will go up.

The GOP is a dead party crawling.

Don’t forget ....the GOPe prefers Hillary to Trump. If Hillary wins they still have jobs. If Trump wins he’ll cut off their gravy train.

I wish trump and Cruz would go ahead now and join forces indie.

Worst nightmare situation: The establishment plays shenanigans and forces Trump out.

Cruz is left behind with a party that will not support him in the general.

Say Hello to President Clinton.

More acceptable to whom? If the party "power brokers" dismiss a candidate who has won the nomination, the party is as dead as the Whigs. However much as that is deserved, if it leaves Hillary in the White House this country is in serious trouble.

Interesting how Lindsey never used those terms to describe those on the left (for whom those words are appropriate). He is despicable. They hate Trump specifically because he diminishes their stature. Specifically. It is, for the VAST majority of politicians, all about them. The number one reason most of these people go into politics is ego. Definitely not public service.

Ironic that Lindsey bashes a fellow Republican as a xenophobe and religious bigot, just days after multiple innocent Americans were gunned down by religious bigots who accept no culture except their own, and who feel justified in killing those who think differently. Trump is reacting to this hatred, not instigating it. If there is to be justice, those in the Republican establishment who are acting like Lindsey will lose their stature, and face what life is like for ‘ordinary’ Americans.

This is contra to a democracy. What they are doing is attempting to block elected delegates from fulfilling their promise. There is no doubt it would destroy the party if it succeeded. I actually believe Trump can win the election on a third party or WRITE IN!! He is getting support of all races and millions of democrats We will never be stopped by Bitch McConnell , Rinse Penis , and karl rove. NEVER!!! I also fear violence like we have never witnessed in politics.

Really? So who’s going to be voting in the general for this “more acceptable alternative.”
