I can’t believe if he doesn’t want to do house-to-house searches throughout the nation by armed troops to round up housekeepers, construction workers and schoolchildren.

If Cruz wants to belittle Trump's position in such a way, then let him do it publicly. There's no reason he should be trying to have it both ways: railing against amnesty and calling Rubio a liar, which creates the image that he is basically another Donald Trump, while simultaneously avoiding questions having to do with what he'll even do with illegal aliens.

You make it sound like the people trashing Trump for the past six months are the very same now saying can’t we all get along.

I don’t see it that way.

As I’ve been saying I like both guys. God willing one of them will win.

This sniping between the two camps is the epitome of foolishness. Too bad we have to learn the same lesson every election season.

He hasn't suggested mass deportation in the same manner that Trump has.

When Cruz says things like, "I agree with Trump on immigration," what does that imply about his position? When Cruz denies Rubio's accurate charges, what does that imply about his position?

You know, if Cruz was up front with his position, that wouldn't help him too much but it would be honorable. It's the coverup that makes it stink 10 times worse.

Closing the border was McCain/Kennedy’s big talking point.

I don’t know about the gang of eight, but Bush and everyone else whose immigration policies were absolutely terrible, always started out with getting the borders under control. It became a big joke when they’d say it.

I don’t know what Ted’s green card policy is now either. I was only my intention point to what it was two years ago.

Any change from that is a flip flop. That was a massive no-no for the last six months

Now all of a sudden it’s not quite so important.

Your insignificant Leftist opinion vs Rush.

But it's not an opinion of any kind. It's literally taking Ted Cruz at his word. "I want common sense immigration reform to pass!" It's that simple.

I pointed out to you what the comments on the Trump threads are.

You seem to think my pointing out Cruz positions from two year ago ranks on the same level.

As for who is upset that I post some frank things on Cruz threads, it’s the same folks who come over to Trump threads.

I’m not sure why you don’t realize that.

Later...

Sessions used the same tactic as Cruz in offering amendments that would kill the bill. Sessions has said that is exactly the tactic they used to out the hypocrisy of the Dems and the Gang of 8.

"We stopped the Gang of Eight bill. Ted Cruz led the fight against the establishment. We would be living under amnesty right now if Cruz had not succeeded." - Rush Limbaugh

So, has Sessions ever actually declared that "common sense immigration reform" is what he supports, including granting illegal aliens RPI and LPR status? And has Sessions kept arguing for this even until this year?

Nope.

"We stopped the Gang of Eight bill. Ted Cruz led the fight against the establishment. We would be living under amnesty right now if Cruz had not succeeded." - Rush Limbaugh

What Rush isn't telling you though is: If the Democrats weren't so impatient and stupid, they would have had expanded H1-B and a permanent class of legal resident, 40 million strong, which they could have granted citizenship to later.

I can read Cruz’s immigration plan for myself. Session’s has said he approves of Cruz’s plan.

Cruz currently has no position on illegals already here. Many of us have speculated that he is purposely holding his fire, both on this, and on a few other topics.

The target is still in farway February. No reason to waste all your amunition when the target is so far way.

Don’t be a Walker and Peak in May 2015 might be another way to say it.

I can read Cruz’s immigration plan for myself.

Then you must understand how undermined it is when he tells Bloomberg that he "doesn't support legalization, but hasn't ruled it out either."

Cruz currently has no position on illegals already here.

But he does. He wants to create the image that he opposes legalization. That is why he denies Rubio's accurate statements and published an immigration paper talking about the "rule of law" (but not defining it wholly) in direct response to him.

We all want the same things, DO. Although we may differ on the means.

What I understand is that you hate Cruz. Frankly, I’m glad you’re not supporting him.

What I understand is that you hate Cruz.

Well, that's entirely false. I actually supported Cruz until I realized he was lying about immigration. TPA did not help either.

The evidence stands for itself, regardless of people's denials.

"Then you must understand how undermined it is when he tells Bloomberg that he "doesn't support legalization, but hasn't ruled it out either.""

I think you're very mixed-up.

I've been searching--using more than one search engine---for information about Cruz telling Bloomberg he hasn't ruled out legalization.

Well, he did say that--but not legalization of immigrants. He was talking about legalization of MARIJUANA.

He said that he personally doesn't support it, but it's a matter of state's rights. Hot Air even did an article titled, "No, Bloomberg, Ted Cruz Does Not Support Legalization of Marijuana."
