Clinton Would Trounce Trump But Lose to Rubio, Carson by CARRIE DANN

Hillary Clinton would defeat Ted Cruz and trounce Donald Trump in a hypothetical head-to-head general election matchup, but she would lose to Marco Rubio or Ben Carson, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds.

Clinton, who leads the Democratic primary field by nearly 20 points, would have a strong advantage over Trump with independent voters but would be bested by the three other Republicans with the important swing group.

The poll, conducted Dec. 6-9, shows Clinton getting the support of 56 percent of Democrats, compared to 37 percent who back Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and 4 percent who back former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley.

Against Trump, the Democratic front-runner would win 50 percent to 40 percent. Among independents, she would capture 43 percent of the vote, compared to 36 percent for Trump. Among Hispanics, Clinton would get 69 percent of the vote, compared to just 24 percent for Trump.

And against Cruz, who has surged in recent polls in the important early state of Iowa, Clinton would win with 48 percent to Cruz's 45 percent.

Moderates are not in Clinton’s camp.

And yet the media and GOPe are still trying to destroy the guy? Sorry, but your little analysis doesn’t match their actions.

The GOP-e claims to believe that, if Trump is the nominee, he will lose and likely drag down enough House and Senate candidates to give President Hildebeest the House and Senate, and thus a minimum of two years to finish enacting the Obama agenda.

If Trump were NO threat, he wouldn’t be attacked non-stop.

Trump is a serious threat to the GOP-e if he wins the nomination. But he is far larger threat to all of us if he wins the nomination and loses the general.

Go Ted!

Everyone agrees that Trump is a threat to win the nomination. The GOP is trying to destroy him to prevent that from happening. They don't want him to win the nomination because they know he's likely to lose the general to Hillary. Plus, the GOP doesn't agree with Trump on the issues, so a Trump win wouldn't really deliver on the issues they care about, and not just on immigration. Trump actually has an extremely liberal record on taxes, health care, eminent domain, trade, and abortion.

GRANNY BENGHAZI

Hillary lost Libya. Benghazi was just one of the consequences thereof.

The one thing the media can do is simply ignore them.

The drive-bys can't ignore Trump. He spouts. They sputter. His numbers go up. That's his formula. He doesn't have to spend his billions, because he gets zillions of dollars worth of free media! It just isn't fair!

And Cruz is a quick study. If he gets the nomination, he will be the story. He will stick it to them and to Hillary. They won't be able to avoid covering him, or they won't get any ratings. Because he will be the story!

WE DO NOT NEED ANY MODERATES OR INDEPENDENTS!!!

If the GOP candidate turns out the millions upon millions of disaffected conservatives to return to the polls, he will win in a LANDSLIDE!!!

All of this "big tent" and "electability" garbage has led us to where we are today.

Except there's no way that Trump is the right person to turn out the millions of disaffected conservatives. What are conservatives mad about? They are mad at a GOP that talks conservative at election time but then stands for nothing when it really matters and gives the Left everything it wants.

What is Trump? He has an extremely liberal record on taxes, trade, eminent domain, abortion, guns, and healthcare. He's moved to the right on many of those issues in the past few months to placate the GOP base to try to win the nomination, but his actual record of statements tells a different story. In all likelihood, if he were to get elected, he would govern as yet another liberal republican.

Cruz does not pull in a single vote that Trump would not get.

Is that why Cruz is doing much better against Hilary Clinton than Trump is, even with Trump sucking up all the media coverage and having the same name recognition as Hilary Clinton and Cruz still unknown to large segments of the electorate?

You don't know what you're talking about.

But keep on believing all of that tripe, if it keeps you warm at night.

Cruz isn't the only one doing well against Hillary.

Yada, yada...heard it all before.

By 3 points. Well within the margin of error. And Cruz has far less name recognition than Hilary Clinton. And Cruz just started his surge. Cruz will beat Hilary alright come November 2016

Voters for Hillary are like people who find their mates in a bar, and then become unhappy because their mate has a drinking problem. Then they repeat the same selection process again, and again, ............

Voting for Hillary is to condone Nixonian behavior on steroids, join with Joe Corzine who stole billions, to issue poardons and political favors for cash, and to sell our security secrets to foreign agents for money, money, money. Votes for Hillary also come with hip waders to stuff documents in for stealing national archives documents.

The woman is a nut-job full of greed and lust for power to doll out to her confidants and loyalists. She is frickin scary!

I’m encouraged by that poll. Cruz hasn’t had anywhere near Trumps air time and he’s supposed to be universally disliked by everyone but the base. I never would have3 thought he’d be so much closer than Trump. One debate and he’ll flip that 3 point margin right over.

Why? Trump has sat in a fairly narrow range for months now. Has he gained much on the rest of the field? 25-35 depending on the poll.

Another BS poll. They don’t release the actual details, but, for example, it is a poll of “adults”. Not US citizens, let alone registered or likely voters.

So, let’s see, that would include about 30 million largely Hispanic illegals to go along with the approximately 40 million legal Hispanics in the country. Or, upwards of 40% of those “Hispanics” interviewed directly in Trump’s deportation sights.

Is it really newsy that 60%+ of the combined illegal and legal, majority welfare recipient, 100% affirmative-action eligible group would opt for the Democrat option over Trump?

I’ll vote for Trump if he gets the nomination. I doubt that my wife would vote for Trump, and she despises the Clintons even more than I do. I’m sure any of the other Republican candidates would get her vote. There’s no way she would vote for Hillary. Probably would just skip that part of the ballot.
