If you take one gun off the street, you don't save one life.
The vast majority of guns are not used to murder people.
1 - are you or your workplace protected by armed security?
2 - do you expect any of the people who pay for it (via taxes) to give up their guns?
3 - are you unwilling to give up this protection?
if they answer 'yes' to any of these questions, they can go pound sand....
Gang bangers and terrorists will be lined up around the block to give their guns away for a few dollars.
Good point. - Watch for home break-ins and gun thefts to go up too.
Sell one stolen gun then steal another one.
Sell that one and steal another one.
.
Repeat.
Why is it always the fat ones? I guess that hog trough in DC really feeds them well!
Now that there is funny
And. The buybacks have been so successful. (src)
“The vast majority of guns are not used to murder people.”
True, but only “gun people” know that. To everyone else, the MSM has a tight filter, they NEVER show recreational or competitive use of firearms, only criminal use. They go out of their way to hype criminal firearms use.
So most people never see a CMP match or Hipower match where most of the rifles on the line are “assault weapons”, they never see a bunch of people shooting national Gallery Course, local papers might show bowling league, little league, soccer scores but never ever shooting competition results.
Propaganda can be the elimination of a topic as well as the insertion of one.
If we can't trust them to keep their word about the second amendment, we can't take their word that the neighborhoods will be far less safe.
Not a problem. We can fix that in about an hour and a half.
If they ban them, you might as well.
Because we haven't had to.
Yet.
Most of the guns brought to “buybacks” are cheap, worn out, and/or rusty junk.
I doubt there is any city in the country that has held more “Gun Buybacks’ than os Angeles.
The gang members turn in their broken pieces & their Saturday Night Sp0ecials & homemade guns & get $250 to buy another NEW gun from their black market pipeline.
They laugh in the face of the Mayor de jour in LA every time this is done.
The last Mayor even PAID the CRIPS $5000 to make peace with the BLOODS & vice versa. These gang leaders laughed & laughed & laughed. The criminal activity didn’t even have a hiccup.
[[The Safer Neighborhoods Gun Buyback Act, ]]
Yeah, Chicago neighborhoods were so much safer when the state government banned guns there- Idiots! Crimes went up- Murders went up! Chicago created a ‘gun free zone’ statewide, and criminals were stupid with delight knowing they had the public right where they wanted them- Defenseless!
Rep Donald Payne, Jr (D-NJ) is of course a poster boy for the greatest benefit of a Democracy (as we’re constantly told our form of guv’mint is)
There in DC to insure that even the congenitally stupid have “representation”...
And of course, “If it would save just one life...”, blah, blah, blah...
There are over 600,000 REGISTERED hunters in Wisconsin, right under Ryan’s nose. Wisconsin has only about 3 million residents—not counting the illegals that have invaded there.
I wonder how they are going to like his proposal?
Is Ryan that tall?
Or is McConnell shrinking??
Or are their stairs involved in that photo?
Watch for home break-ins and gun thefts to go up too.”””
I wonder how much the crime went up on Tuesday when the entire LAPD force was busy protecting the schools???
Just say9ing..........
Wonder how much a chewed pop tart will bring.
“a 25% premium to the market price for guns”
The feds show about as much common sense with guns as they did several years ago with their used car buyback program.
I usually get a good/sale price when I buy, so like you say, if I sell it to Uncle Sugar for retail, plus 25% then I can get another new sale gun and several boxes of ammo to boot.
And we trust these people to run things? It’s no wonder we’re in a world of hurt.
That bow-tie keeps his foreskin up?
