“. . . well-documented allegations that Russian President Vladimir Putin has had political opponents and journalists killed. . . “

What a bunch of crap.

If the MSM press is trying to get sympathy for the MSM press, I’m sorry to inform them the well is dry.

I haven’t seen the proof of the allegations. This much we know: Putin outlawed gay adoption. Michael Savage asked whether that’s why our elites hate Putin

Note that when Obama first imposed “sanctions” on Russia, he singled out the politicians that had sponsored the laws that protected children from pedophiles and from being recruited into the homosexual lifestyle.

Clinton’s drinking buddy Boris Yelstin had an aide who was CONVICTED of having a reporter critic murdered. There is no evidence however of Putin or anyone in his circle having journalists killed. But yet this has taken on an air of certainty among liberals.

Yeltsin fired on his own Parliament. You know, what is supposed to happen in a liberal democracy.

So no matter what I post to you here, you have no right to respond?

That’s crazy. Every action has a reaction.

Russia has a right to defend itself. They viewed that move as a security threat. They said so beforehand. In weighting the choice, Ukraine had to consider the consequences to their relationship with Russia.

Anyway...

You ignored the civil war part. The problem is also that not all of Ukraine agrees.

Should other countries have come and taken part in our Civil War? Would that have ended well?

I gotta go get some things done. I’m way behind because I’m here on FR blabbing and blabbing. LOL. Thanks for the exchange. I’ll have to read your response later.

Then Joe S criticized Putin for killing journalists. I though Joe was talking about collateral damage from air sticks. So when Trump responded that we have done the same it made perfect sense to me.

Great point - Joe S. tried to sucker punch - A) there is no consensus that Putin has killed reporters - it’s stuff that internet rumors come from and B) Clearly, he made it seem like combat deaths of reporters like we saw in Iraq during the over throw of Saddam.

The louder that a pro-Putin poster screams that an analogy is ridiculous, you know it's right on the money.

So, let's use your Mexico example. Mexico decides that its citizens (who may or may not have declared independence) in S. California are being "oppressed." How would you feel about Mexico invading and annexing a portion of S. California?

As for killings by the US, the Serbs might say we do it. The Serbs never did anything to us, and yet we killed quite a few, including women and children. There are threads her on FR pointing to Jeb B and Terri Schiavo.

Clinton bombed a Serbian news station. It was OK because they were pro their own Serbian country and thus were somehow legit propaganda targets.

Does California have autonomy within the USA and the right to vote to secede? Is there a Mexican military base in California by legal right?

Also, it has to meet the definition of repressed. You know when guys with Swastikas march in a nation’s capital as part of the new govt - parts of that nation that don’t like living under Nazi affiliated rule do have a human right to leave.

Well, I don't think so if NATO made a commitment not to expand in order to obtain Russia's consent to German reunification.

The Myth of a No-NATO-Enlargement Pledge to Russia,

Here's what George F. Kennan, America's premier Cold War diplomat had to say about the first round of NATO expansion per the NYT in 1998.

George Kennan, starting in the late 40's Kennan was a critic of the US in the Cold War.

Killing journalists is a bad thing? Did Joey ask Trump his opinion on former Congressman blowhards with dead staffers in their offices?

Yea, Joe S. maybe a murderer of a young intern. Reason he is not in congress any more....evidence? I said it hence evidence.

Soverign countries if invited, certainly have the right to join NATO. You don’t think so?

You are right; it is a garbage website.

Once I went through his entire list and web-researched it and found virtually nothing to back it up. Basically, his modus operandi is (1) refer to an undisputed incident in which a prominent Russian journalist, politician, businessman, etc., is killed; (2) allege that Putin must was responsible because said individual was arguably an opponent of Putin’s; (3) ignore the motives of others who may have had a greater interest in silencing the individual, such as Chechen rebels, oligarchs, Russian mafia, etc.; (4 )ignore the outcome of investigations in which other parties were held responsible or other evidence demonstrates Putin was entirely not to blame; (5) disregard the fact that Putin (a smart man whatever you think of him) would have more to lose in furnishing ammunition for his political opponents, domestic and foreign, than he would ever gain by eliminating the individual

There is no proof at all Putin ordered killed any journalists - it’s rumors started by people who don’t like Putin’s regime in the first place. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

But yet ISIS Islamofascists have executed journalists and published the videos for the whole world to see.

Yet the MSM seems to have forgotten about that fact, and its ludicrous for the MSM to try to place Trumps nuts in a vice when he is actually communicating with Putin on security matters which are very important. Obama has refused to accept the security warnings offered to interdict terrorists, and the Tsaranov brothers are a case in point.

The Russian argument in this regard is laughable: "hey, we occupied your country, enslaved your citizens, and sent a good portion of them to labor camps . . . but don't antagonize us by acting in anything other than our interest, ok?"

Basically, his modus operandi is — I think not only are those his or her websites - I think he / she operates on here under a few aliases since those names self reference the same websites. Jesus Christ, we have someone on here referencing a Chechen jihad website as something worth visiting. That is filthy jihadi in our midst more than likely.
