The GOP better get it through their head that they are HATED. This is a revolt against the party even more than one against Hillary. I EXPECT Hillary to be Hillary so that’s no betrayal. But the GOP stabs me in the back with glee. How many in the last year, starting with the budget right after we gave them the blowout win they asked for?

The only pitfall is being painted in a bad light, but he fights back and he fights dirty. He won’t hesitate to tell Clinton that she should be in prison and he won’t hesitate to tell where the bodies are buried.
I believe that the Left and Right are terrified that Trump will come in a upset their cozy world of screwing over the American public.
He has been campaigning on a shoe string and is whupping the @$$ of his crony capitalist competitors like that stupid loon Jeb Bush. Money will be no object and he will whup Hillary’s fat @$$ too. These talking heads keep saying “ he’s not conservstive, he’snot what the Republican Party is all about, he’s not serious, he’s a clown, he’s peaked, Rubio is ‘surging’, he diesn’t have the money to run” are idiots. And now the whole world knows they are idiots because Trump has been saying what tge average American feared to say and is poking tge eyes out of tge cheap crony capitalists who have ruined America for personal profit.

Keep drinking the kool-aid. His first bankruptcy almost wiped him out. He had personally guaranteed a lot of debt. In subsequent deals, he learned not to “use the fountain pen” -not to personally guarantee debt - but make no mistake, they were his companies, his projects, and they were big. Besides the 4 bankruptcies, he’s had many business failures - and some real, and lucrative successes. Like many businessmen.

gotta look at the NET cost, if any, of running for office in USA. Campaign costs LESS profits you can make in office = net cost. In most cases its is all too obvious that the potential profits of corruption in office far, far exceed any campaign costs.
True. And if he had to, I believe there is a good chance he would consider liquidating very large assets to raise massive amounts of cash. But I don’t think that will ever be necessary.
He does not over-leverage his businesses. He does not hold a lot of debt, certainly not at high rates. He is good at finding opportunities to buy assets that are in trouble at a low price and build up their real value on a solid basis — and he is good at flipping them at the right moment to get out while the value is high and avoid seeing them excessively devalued due to market movement and other crises.
Whatever “trouble” other countries may try to give him, he is very good at fighting back, he has very good lawyers, and he is not stupid enough to show fear or weakness when being attacked. He gets it.
I think financially Trump will do fine all the way to the White House.

Carl Icahn could finance a billion dollar PAC on his own and not feel it in the wallet. He is worth more than $20 billion dollars. That they know about.
They estimate Trump at $4 billion when he claims it is $10 billion. If we split the difference that would mean he has between 6 and Eight Billion or more.
Regardless. These guys are not necessarily on an ego rip. They may actually be patriots who want to stop the head long rush of this country over the cliff.
