The party will survive, it’s the cabal of self serving leeches that will be endangered.

Right. Let’s elect Jeb Bush so he can represent the needs of elites to have cheap labor up the wazoo.... Yep, that works for me... /s

7 years of cowardice and capitulation has killed the GOP

Isn’t it a good thing that the GOP would be destroyed?
Trump is taking a wrecking ball to that old dilapidated structure called the GOP and clearing the way for a new structure.
George Will’s warning is to the establishment. He does not care about fly over country.

“George Will is warning that if the GOP nominates Donald Trump for president, it would be the “end” of the conservative party.”
So I take it George Will missed Paul Ryan’s staggering underperformance during the recent omnibus spending bill. That was the undertaker throwing a shovel of dirt on the casket, which was already in the ground.

Talking head sock puppets and know-it-all (j)urinalists are constantly telling us what just happened, what we are supposed to think about what just happened, and what is going to happen.
But upon inspection, we find they are almost always wrong!

There is a common misconception that the leeches are the "party". They are not. The voters that pay the taxes and want a conservative, constitution based government are the party.

"Conservatives" highest priority now must be to prevent Trump from winning the Republican nomination in this, Unless I'm quite mistaken, it is the "conservatives" who have put Trump ahead. I believe Will is confusing the republican establishment with "conservatives."

We have a POTUS who appears to want to burn the very concept of constitutional limited government to the ground - and all you can think of is what might happen to a political party??
