I believe that the father actually wanted the boy to do yard work as restitution, not retribution. The homeowner wanting to press charges is retribution for the kid's theft. Disagree. The kid is not to be trusted so the man was wise to not allow him to return to the property. The kid would “accidentally “ hurt himself or the property instead of help the man.
That’s probably what he was thinking as he was laughing during the response to the kids father... no way would I allow your kid near my home.
Ricci should have called the kid and his father LOSERS, then told them how much money he has and how hes going to have to look at them very closely from now on!.
