Can anyone claim satisfaction with the condition of the country under the rule of the so-called educated people?
I experienced the same thing. I am fluent in both European Spanish and Americas Spanish.
Shortly after I bought the home I live in, around 15 years ago, a garden maintenance person rang my doorbell soliciting clients; he was clearly Mexican, but even then the underlying incipient pressure of extreme political correctness was kicking in... and I did admire his initiative so I hired him, no questions asked. We communicated in Spanish, of course, his English was rudimentary. He was married with three very young girls.
It took me three years, and several notes (in Spanish) to realize he was illiterate in both Spanish as well as English.
Unfortunately, twelve years later, nothing had changed. So much for assimilation. This total lack of improvement caused us to part ways in 2014.
Sometimes being a minimalist hard worker isn't enough.

has anyone here ever heard the term educated idiots...right now we have a lot of them because of our education system over the last 35 years. there are a lot of people that assume because they have a degree they are smarter then the person who chose to be a plumber or someone that became a long haul trucker.
having a education does not mean you will make intelligent decisions. for some, the ones I call educated idiots it gets in the way of evaluating areas out side there area of training. some examples are the biologist who thinks his education qualifies him to comment on metrology (climate change) or the professor of mathematics that thinks he is qualified in the area politics just by the virtue of there degree.
I am not saying a education is not useful in life but it does not make you an expert out side your area of training
just because you are educated does not mean you will make good decisions.
there is an advantage not recognized by the Educated elite for those like myself who only have only a partial university education and that is not having to stay current in a particular field..... I can educate myself by reading and staying current on all things happening to make my decisions. this does not mean I will make a better decision then a professor of mathematics or surgeon but it means I will come to my opinions differently on who is best to lead us politically...
to those that are scared of decisions made by some one like me I say tough luck. this is a republic and my views are just as valuable as anyone else’s. if you think my views are wrong use your education to enlighten me because while I believe there are a lot of educated idiots out there. I usually get my opinions by figuring out who is not the educated idiot and knows what they are talking about.

An impressive academic degree doesn’t have any actual value when most of what they’ve been taught is wrong. You can get a Phd and not know which way to turn a light bulb.
Well, a lot of them probably have either Section 8 or Public Housing. And gasoline IS pretty cheap these daze. Plus: welfare, EBT cards & free medical care.
Face it: those who Vote For a Living have done a lot better than the rest of us.
I wouldn’t want to trade places with them; they live in horrible places with other parasites who are often violent. They bury their children, and accept that as their sacrifice to Mammon for their sloth.
