Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, even if the Supreme Court ruled that Cruz was a NBC, there are many on this forum that would still not accept it.

Who will stop Cruz from running? Nobody.

Then why are we wasting our time arguing about it?

Thank God we elected all those lesser evils to protect us from conservatives.

I see what you did there ... and it was worth repeating. I hope it is not lost on people. Thank you!

A few have learned. Many still cling to lesser evil. No matter what.

I was on the fence about Cruz, but the fact that McConnell won’t do what is obviously right in this regard is the highest Conservative badge of authenticity Cruz can earn.

even if the Supreme Court ruled

Supreme Court rulings don't mean much these days.

Just a thought, using your scenario (Cruz becomes POTUS, etc.), if the SC rules as such, do you think that the left would not use it to undo any good work that Cruz has done.

Be VERY careful how you throw around the name “Alan Dershowitz”...

War on Women, page 110:

Another one of Epstein’s close friends was Harvard superlawyer Alan Dershowitz. (Dershowitz in a January 2015 court filing):

This is one of the underage girls being used by Jeffrey Epstein;

“I had sexual intercourse with Dershowitz at least six times. The first time was when I was about 16, early on my servitude to Epstein, and it continued until I was 19.

Page 111:

The first time we had sex took place in New York in Epstein’s home.

The second time I had sex with Dershowitz was at Epstein’s house in Palm Beach, Fla.

I also had sex with Dershowitz at Epstein’s Zorro Ranch in New Mexico.

We also had sex at Little Saint Jams Island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Be very careful of who you are connecting your candidate with, it can be used against them later on, and the media knows all this the same way as other people in ‘high places’ do....

The left will do everything it can to destroy. Always. No exceptions. Regardless of context. It is simply what they are and what they do.

“everyone blames Trump for this”
Well, there are some idiots who blame ‘the other guy’ for everything.
The fault here lies with Cruz’s campaign for not pre-empting this line of attack.
I don’t think there’s anything to it. But I’m not a campaign strategist.

Rummy is that the same Dershowitz that is covering for Billy’s sexual antics on the isle of pleasure? If so his creds are in question ! If not. Forgets about it !

This is why it is paramount for it to be done before hand. If the decision makes Cruz ineligible that is a risk to take, but with that it would also counteract Obama in office and anything he has signed. On top of that, even if it was decided he was ineligible for POTUS, I believe that 30+ years on the bench of the SC would be significantly better than 4 and at best 8 years as POTUS. Yeah I know I’ve heard a lot saying he could do POTUS than SC, but I don’t think a spot would be available in time and I find it hard to believe that the Senate would confirm a previous POTUS to the SC.

I agree it needs to be clarified. And I am 100% Cruz. I almost got zotted a year ago for saying so.

Rep Alan Grayson, D-FL has stated he will file a lawsuit if Ted Cruz gains the nomination claiming Mrs. Cruz may have forfeited her U.S. citizenship by taking a Canadian oath of citizenship.

Cruz mother may have elected to give up her U.S. citizenship; she could not be there on a visitors visa for five years, thats for sure, he says.

Grayson says, if his mother, who clearly worked in Canada for years and years, did so while becoming a Canadian citizen and taking an oath, which is how you do it in Canada, she lost her citizenship by U.S. law, specifically Section 349 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Personally, I’m like Trump, it takes a break from the politicians; however, if the nominee is Cruz I will vote for him. If it isn’t either of them, there is no point in showing up.

Congressional Resolutions aren’t worth the paper they are written on.
