You nailed it. It’s not going to help the average joe.

As bad as Boston and Mass. is, Connecticut is worse. Average home prices in Boston are $100,000 lower than Fairfield CT. Property tax rates are lower as well. Corporate taxes are 1% lower (I’m sure G.E. is getting an even lower rate ala Raytheon). Boston will give GE $20 million in property tax relief.

You have to look more closely at the data. You can commute to Fairfield (less than an hour) from much lower cost areas to the north. That is not possible in metro Boston.

Immult really wanted to come to FL, but his party (democrat) told him not to. Right, Jeff?

Don't want to give Gov. Scott too much props, right?

Even if your Board wanted it...

The GE big shots did not want to move far. They are idiots and betrayed the stockholders.

A move to a no incometax state would have been far better.

There are plenty of low cost towns an hours commute from Boston. All of Connecticut is fairly high tax. You don’t have prop. 2 1/2 like Mass. What does this mean, well towns like Concord and Lincoln with a large population of moonbats and trust funders do have comparable high property taxes. Towns like Braintree and Weymouth do not, since those citizens need to work for a living and abhor higher taxes. An hour north drive of Boston is NH. Fairfield Connecticut has nothing comparable to NH cost of living and taxes within 3 hours drive, never mind 1 hour.
