9/11 WIDOWER INVITES CRUZ TO LEARN ABOUT 'NEW YORK VALUES'
ABC 7 CHICAGO ^ | 16 JANUARY 2016 | JENNIFER HANSLER

Posted on 01/15/2016 6:00:13 PM PST by Extremely Extreme Extremist

Sept. 11 widower James Smith knows something about New York values. Smith's wife, Moira, was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. She was the only female law enforcement official killed that day.

When Smith, a retired NYPD officer himself, heard about Ted Cruz's "New York values" remark earlier this week, he took to Facebook to invite the Republican candidate to the Big Apple.

"I was disappointed by your disparaging remarks about New York values somehow being different from Iowa and New Hampshire values," Smith wrote. "I invite you to come to the National 9-11 Memorial and Museum and see for yourself, and perhaps learn something about, the values of New Yorkers."

The 9/11 crap was an emotional deflection on the part of trump. The is the type of tact that liberals employ and would be roundly castigated if had been used by a liberal candidate against a Republican in the general.

It would be hard to believe - unless this widower is particularly dense - that he didn’t fully understand that Cruz was talking about the political values of New York and not specifically the people or heroes of 9/11. Deliberately being obtuse for political expediency is almost certainly what’s in play here.

Cuomo telling Conservatives they have no place in NY.
That's a NY value...

Bingo. That was my immediate reaction to what Cruz said. I thought he was referring to a$$ holes like De Blasio, Cuomo, and Hillary. Those are the New York values you correctly indentified. He was not referring to hard working, good people, who are suffering as much as anyone, under those communist bastards. If Cruz was referring to those 3 POSs, and a host of others, then I certainly agree with him. Those particular a$$ holes, do not have the same values I have.

Yes. We've certainly seen that before.

Have you seen this? He finally has a good sales pitch this time.

All the times Donald Trump has pretended to run for president

Trump quit the Republican Party for the Reform Party ahead of the 2000 election. If he ran for president that year, he said media mogul Oprah Winfrey would be a great running mate.

LOL!!!

Which major cities in America are conservative with those “values” Mr. Cruz speaks of?

If you could just list 4, that would be fine. Thanks.

NY Values: The Loudest is the Smartest. Use Attacks instead of Reason. Start every sentence with “In New York...” Gun control. Soda Control. Tobacco Control. Regulation. Tax. Tax. Tax. Obama Forever!

I’ll give New Yorkers a hint - when you attack the values of “Fly-Over” country 24/7, you shouldn’t whine like sissies when someone tells you to stuff it.

What a pathetic bunch of pansies, pissing in their panties because someone doesn’t like them!

So he attacks the entire state because of the politicians it elects?

Their policies are liberal and communist. FReepers do it all the time. It's quite common for a poster to say that some state deserves what they get. Probably some of them are Trumpeters. They desperately need to get rid of Cruz so as the liberals do, NOW they get their panties in a wad over something THEY do.

Trump is a lifelong liberal, something his supporters choose to ignore.

We have suffered through seven years of a former first-term Senator and one would think that the conservatives had learned from the libtards mistake.

But no.....

The Cult of Personality is in play here the same as with Obama. Trump finally found the right sound bytes.

Not a lover of the Huffington Post but they ran this:

Attacked for being a New Yorker, Donald Trump draped himself Thursday night in indignation and the valor of other city residents and first responders who answered the call of 9/11.

But it turns out he was terrible at answering such calls.

The group fighting to pass a permanent 9/11 health care law twice asked Trump for his support in getting it passed.

He never answered them or media inquiries related to it.

Even before that, he had a terrible record of donating to 9/11 relief efforts, according to The Smoking Gun. The billionaire gave all of $ 1,000 to a sketchy Scientology “detoxification” group.

I have visited many times and was asked to speak like a ‘barking seal’ for entertainment because I had a Southern accent. Very off-putting. Same when I lived in the UK....and ,generally, they had more disdain for Southern Americans. Not like they had a hand in the slave trade or anything. Naturally. That’s completely forgotten and projected upon US.

Also the extraordinary efforts by the citizens, NYPD, and FDNY were demonstrations of values not unique to New York. They were a display of American values. In fact people, police, and fire departments across the nation sent folks to aid in the aftermath of 9/11. Police and firemen all across this country put their lives on the line every day.
